Hello I’m from 10 years in the future. You won’t believe this but the fat guy who gets taken in the 2nd round during a Taco Bell commercial is the best player of the draft and probably of the league.
My god, how incredibly right he was all those years ago. He literally predicted the future now with Jokić and Dončić making basketball what it's supposed to be. He was so right about young players playing too many games and not practicing, that's why European players are the best today, they learned the game the right way.
That Clippers team with Bledsoe, Barnes, and Crawford coming off the bench was my favorite Clippers team. I think Del Negro was coaching that year. The starters often sat the entire 4th quarter that season.
That was not the Bucks arena they showed or at least it hadn’t been since the late 80s. The Bradley Center wasn’t much better, but I could have done without anything to make Milwaukee look worse back in 2013 when there were relocation rumors
Only fitting that Bill leaves two days after the Pac-12 had their last ever game, with Arizona winning the baseball title. At least, he won't have to worry about seeing his beloved Bruins in the Big Ten.
If you've watched Bill's incredible show Barry, it's Judd Hirsch's picture he slams his fist into, full throttle. 32:07 (Fred Armisen to Ben Affleck) 'pahk the cah in Havahd Yahd'. 37:35 9 yrs later Bill's boning trash-mouth Bilson for real. (ugh) #BillHader
I liked watching Simmons walk up to #BillHader courtside in OK City, and asking him if he's going to be OK's Jack Nicholson? :D 6:28 The Half King. :D 19:00 then Bill costars in Trainwreck as the romantic lead!! 19:18 Then Bill plays three characters in Sausage Party! ('Hey how are ya hey how are ya...') 39:20 when I watched Bill not only looking like and sounding like Carville, but at the same time shuffling cards I was shocked! - Then Billy goes on to play Carville in Documentary Now!, parodying The War Room film. 45:10 Bill stayed a haunted hotel too! He said his room was haunted by a cat. 50:09 I worked with Heather's dad, Mike O'Rourke, super nice guy. 51ish, Bill got to do a Laser Cats with Spielberg, then years later he was in Spielberg's The BFG as the Blood Bottler. :D 56:55 SC TV Rick Moranis as Michael McDonald - the best sketch ever!! 1:09:05 2 1/2 years later Le Bron plays Bill's best friend in Trainwreck. :D 1:10:01 RIP Kobe Bryant & daughter. 1:14:49 Matt Stone went off on a tirade about the itunes EULA one time Bill was there, and it became the 'Human Centipad' episode. (ewww!)
Rare argument W for Simmons v Klosterman. He has every right to rip Dunleavy as a journo or a consumer. That team was unethical as a competitive enterprise let alone all the other shit
Maybe I am just a fucking dumbass but I don’t know what other source than this podcast has created such a rich chronicle of the media landscape over the past two decades… wild
The young folks I see watching basketball today, 2024, are absolutely gobsmacked by Gervin J. They haven’t heard much. The Doctor is much more well-known, but most of those ABA guys got forgotten. Doc was the man.
Cp3 vs d wade was only a debate cause cp3 was on a rookie deal...let's be honest...the way howard was on a great deal...d wade was top 3..duncan is ahead cause of what he meant to the spurs with manu at sg...don't need d wade if your the spurs
