I have a question my 2015 genesis coupe came with a back up camera and i installed an aliexpress 9"touchscreen and for the back up camera to work i was looking for the male rca cable. I have no clue how i am going to use my camera when i dont know what wire was providing the video feed to my old screen

Maybe I missed it but I don't think you identified the exact model of your 2016 Gencoupe. (1) Do you know if this will work on a bottom-of-the-line 2016 Hyundai Genesis 3.8 Base Coupe? (in other words, is the base coupe's screen (head unit?), actually capable of displaying video)? Not sure if bottom-of-the-line 3.8 Base Coupes came with video-capable screens.If not, this might require upgrading the screen to a video-compatible screen, which could be very expensive, if even possible. (2) Many thanks for this Great, heroic, one-handed video! but I wish you could redo the sound track with explanatory narration vs. music.
I just try this, this past weekend, but it didn't work for me. I spliced into those two Video Signal pin #A2 (green) & Video Ground pin #A3 (pale yellow) which my radio has and I cut pin #A14, I still don't get my screen to jump to that video when i shift to [R]everse. is there more to it??? PLEASE HELP
9:00 minutes in the video you'll see were i tap in the reverse light wires, that is what powers and trigger the camera to come on when you shift to reverse.
I don't actually know if it is but I would suggest taking your head unit out and seeing if it has the same 3 wires on the harness. It should work if it does.
Hey, there. I REALLY love the solution with the T-taps and the modular RCA female connector + posi-taps. In order to make that piece that tapped into the factory harness, did you can to cut your own length of wire to create that custom connector, or do most cameras come with those wires in the box?
