What driving advantage does it has to set batteries back of front. I cannot find any info on what effect does it makes on driving, and what setup is better for a complete begginer
It effects the weight bias in the chassis. Batteries forward = forward weight bias; batteries back = rearward weight bias. Typically, whichever end has more weight, has more traction. So you can use the battery position to gain front end traction or rear end, depending on if you need more steering or more rear stability. -Brett
I personally want to see 3 to 4 buggys built mugen, losi, associated and kyosho etc. Kit form. All same fluids engines servos radio and any other extra parts. That would be a true comparison. Also built the same time broken in the same day.
Chico, Ca. Here it is on google maps: www.google.com/maps/place/Silver+Dollar+RC+Raceway/@39.7186716,-121.8122278,17.75z/data=!4m6!3m5!1s0x808326281ce3b8f3:0xb2d1f75a8419f9c8!8m2!3d39.7194709!4d-121.811119!16s%2Fg%2F11b7tdb180?entry=ttu -Brett
Anybody still on the fence about these tires needs to pick up a set of them. Hands-down best quality 1/10 off-road tires on the market. Soft rubber, deep as hell tread, grip for days. I haven't tipped over my Granite 3s this much since i first got it. Seriously, i had to turn down my dual rates, because the dboots Fortress MT tires NEVER had this much grip. For a fun experiment, put two of these on your truck and two brand new dboots tires. Go hogwild and watch the dboots tear themselves to shreds trying to keep up. I got so tired of dboots tires ripping themselves off the wheel at high speed. I took a gamble, i trusted a RU-vid talking head, and it turned out great. Seriously, if people stopped buying products they see on social media, then 50% of the world's scams would end... That has been my attitude, I don't buy things i see in videos online. Period. But Amain Hobby being based in Chico, i knew i could drive 4 hours to their offices if things went bad.... So i bought the Dirt Claw 2.8's. No regrets. I'm never buying any other brand of tires. These tires are legit.
No, Because you should never discharge a battery below the 3.2 volts per cell, that's the Milliamp hours "left on the table" so to speak. So for a Lipo battery that lists 5200 mah on its label you realistically only get 3500 of that (More or Less) and thats what your charger reads as the mah capacity charged into the battery, never realistically should be the full battery capacity. I run 2 CNHL 3S 9500 mah batteries on my Kraton, I get long run time WHILE allowing the battery to never go below 3.6 and I only charge it up to 4.10 - 4.15 volts precisely so that in turn I get drastically more run cycles out of my batteries. Spend good money on them, so why treat them like shit?
Yes, that's safe. The C Rating shouldn't matter, only give you a little more or less "punch" feeling. The main importance is using only a 2S LiPo. -Brett
Probably this stuff: www.amainhobbies.com/protek-rc-clear-double-sided-servo-tape-roll-1x40-ptk-2240/p510791 This tape has a little cushion to it, to absorb vibrations, it's just a pain to peal apart, but a hobby knife under the corner can help. Be sure to use rubbing alcohol or motor spray to clear both surfaces, like the chassis and esc. This tape is also equally as sticky, but with less cushion: www.amainhobbies.com/protek-rc-grey-high-tack-double-sided-tape-roll-1x40-ptk-2241/p769523 -Brett
You really should do a bone stock comparison with same tires, batteries and electronics to really give a better picture. The cars were way too different, yiu want to compare CARS not ones personal setup on that car.
Nice track but tough to gauge car position near the far back there guess it takes some getting used to. Wish there were more tracks like that where I am in Ontario, Canada.
I know this is an older video and i havent read the comments but did you notice the exact even weight distribution of the mugen at 50% f/r ad l/r? 1:08
How does one do the firmware update on this charger? All videos up to this moment are void of providing any successful help. Have any insights on this maintenance detail? Thanks in advance.
