It's been a problem for a long time. The lake has always opened and closed naturally. The issue now is lack of water flow when it's open due to when both bridges were built they were narrowed significantly to what was naturally there before. The lake is slowly silting up because of this reduced water flow. The council and government know this and how to fix it but continue to do nothing. If they widened the main bridge and kendall drive bridge nature would do the rest. It use to be one of the most beautiful places going. Very sad!
Thanks for the video. Any thoughts on how to get these vibe lure types to swim back straight? Most of them either swim back to the left or right. Could it be the split ring? Cheers
Great sess mate. I've never used the Samaki soft vibes before as I was thinking it is pretty pricey for soft vibes and thought if it was a good value for $$. just wondering if it is made in Japan and as buoyant as Zman when it is left on the bottom ? and do you need to put scents on it like normal soft plastics would ?
There was an article/photo in the local pub where a 9lb bream was caught around 30 years back. The fisherman had a freak run where most of the school he caught was over 4lb. There was also an article a couple years back where a 29lb flattie was caught in the back creeks . . .
Hey, just wondering cause I’ve always wanted to try settlement point is it legal to fish in the canal spot we’re your at I see people do it all the time but there’s sign’s everywhere saying no fishing. Do you think Itd be ok to fish there? I’m only catch and releasing to
Hey mate I don’t think it’s illegal and I fish there still all the time but the people that live there sometimes get upset if you fish on the paths or there Ramps
Honestly I can't describe how good your videos are. I've been watching you for a few years now and i have to say you make other good videos by other people look like crap. I can watch all your videos without skipping at all. Doesn't matter what mood I'm in I can always enjoy your videos. This one was sensational, don't stop what you are doing no matter what anyone else says.
@@TheFishingcartel congrats on your Pb snapper. My previous Pb was 55cm and I got that 3 years ago, I hadn't got another one close to that until 2 months ago where I beat my pb 2 times in one day then went on to beat it the next week with a 70cm snapper and then 2 weeks later i got an 80cm snapper. It's the best feeling when you get your Pb, it's a reward for all your work you put in.
Good eating so easy to clean a light rub with scrubbing brush and the silver all comes away they swim just as fast and hard backwards as they do forward awesome fish
Nice Snapper! Just started fishing offshore for snapper and struggling a bit. How deep was the water? And were you jigging the plastic like you would for flathead etc?
@@Badhands55 they grow to 7ft here in NSW Australia, but not common where the fishing cartel caught his. It could be the stupid amount of flood waters we have had here driving them north, but thats only a guess…… they are a very rare fish species here and normally location specific.
