Week 4 or 5 he did that for the First Time, scrambled, got free, spotted someone open, wound himself up to throw: then suddenly stopped himself, tucked it & ran for minimal yards for no obvious reason. "Was he concussed" we all wondered? Then the Bears didn't take him into the blue tent. Not after the drive, not after he did this again. How did Not One Staffer think he _might be_ concussed? Everyone knew the answer & the meme that started to "explain" this said this was to simplify the offense for him. So right away everyone _knew_ that he'd been *ordered to* not throw to certain receivers on certain plays. It was only two weeks later that people realized that this still implicated the coaches & so everyone not only changed the meme, they forgot about the initial one. You’re comparing a top 10 draft pick 3 years into his career vs an undrafted D2 Quarterback 4 games into his career. Bagent runs the team better. The fact that you’re comparing them makes Bagent a better bet going forward. And if you’re going to roast the defense you should at least mention the 3 pick-sixes Justin threw.
I agree. I think Fields has a better trade value and we'll get more for him. I think we could only use Bagent as a package for a good trade So hope we get a good trade for JF1, maybe someone for the defense, or a second round pick
Your argument is weak af! Not only is it weak but it tilts toward Bagent being the better QB. How you gonna compare the two player's highs without comparing their lows? And yes the Bears defense has improved over the season, but when the offense goes 3 and out defenses stay on the field longer and they get tired. Justin Fields and his offense has too many 3 and outs. And how you gonna talk bad about the Panthers while Green Bay sucks just as much? Justin Fields had a month of reps with the 1st unit leading up to the opening night matchup with GB while playing at home and the Bears lost because Fields couldn't get the team in the endzone. Bagent had 1 week of reps with the 1st unit and wins his 1st start. Give me the smart QB over the physically talented one.

I'd take Terry Bradshaw to start over Fields next week. I've never seen such an underwhelming QB fail over and over and over and still have people talking him up as if he is a top 5 QB. Zach Wilson gets ripped even when he wins and he has almost twice as many wins as Fields in fewer starts. And the Bears could have had Will Levis....
I'll give you credit for drafting a tackle at #9 smart & eventhough I don't agree with your pick. In college an offensive lineman can get away with having T-rex arms at tackle but not in the pros. He is playing against the best of the best now. If we draft him at 9th it would be a waisted pick because we just paid Nate to come here. He is proven his worth in the league already. Teven was our best lineman last year. So you just drafted a great backup guard. Congratulations We still need a tackle.
