the early hard mode struggle is so real.. so heres how i deal with it, first, you wanna figure out what your summoner playstyle is. Can you dodge for shit? or do you js kinda get hit around? If you can dodge, i recommend rocking spider armor for the additional minions. If you cant dodge, learn to… My strategy is to fight queen slime with a cool whip/firecracker and an imp staff. Keep fighting her until you get the gelatinous pillion mount. (the king slime one will work but i prefer the queen’s) then you’re gonna wanna fight the destroyer. like fight it alot. using the cool whip and blade staff/sanguine staff it really shouldnt be an issue. But the main thing you’re gonna abuse is the mount. Whenever you’re flying above the destroyer and you run out of wing time, drop down on the mount, you’ll continue to avoid the lasers and the probes you’ll summon will go to your sides allowing you to dodge their lasers almost entirely. Once you kill the desotroyer enough times make the durendal and a full hallowed set. Stack with the cool whip and you should be able to breeze with this setup all the way to plantera. If needed though, kill the twins and make an optic staff. I think i should js make a video on this i like strictly play summoner

Funny enough I did the same thing as him. First Summoner run in Master - it was rough as hell, but helped me learn more than any other run I've done. Summoner ends up crazy powerful!

I did this in 2022, at that point there were not many videos on how to play summoner on master, it was a pain in the ass, specially since I forced myself to only play using summoner armos/weapons, beating dreadnautilus and getting de sanguine staff, or beating the empress of light during the day to obtain the terraprism, those moments took me forever
