Jay tries to act so innocent for a man that played a hugely active role in breaking down so many girls throughout the years over the course of this show. How about when a model confided in him that she’d been SA’d as a child and so was terrified to perform a shoot with a male model and he convinced her that she needed to get over her trauma and do it anyway? How about when they were in Spain and Jaeda got paired with a racist male model who told her to her face he disliked black girls and refused to help her practice for the commercial and despite another model offering to switch, Jay and production refused and she ended up having to kiss the male model anyway? He can also be seen in the background during Jaeda’s solo portion of the commercial snickering with said racist male model while watching her. And there are so many other instances like that. He said countless terrible things to and about the contestants just to break them down, and he often did it with a smile on his face. At least if he owned up to it he’d be an honest bully. But the way he tries to distance himself from all the toxicity like he wasn’t a huge player in it is just disgusting.
It’s just so interesting how ultimately the team divided not by nationalities. Laura and Sophie on one side with Alisha and Eboni on the other. It may look like compability based on race but it’s not the case since Laura is annoyed with Kyle.
What are you trying to stir up? These ladies have grown and changed. Being on a reality show likely caused tons of drama which they've put under the rug and made amends. But your comment means you just want to be obnoxious.
I think the concept would have been better if it was an Addams family like concept because I got some serious Gothic, near Addams family vibes from how Kris and her girls were styled as well as some of the models. Models as babies? No way! Flop.
Annaliese: I am wearing this awesome top that makes me feel good and look good - with my boyfriend's PJ bottoms Me: So I am not completely weird?! Because that is my daily inside wear!
To be honest, I think ANTM aired that atrocious focus group is precisely because it was so shocking. I think they did it for drama and because they knew it would illicit such a strong reaction. Strong reactions = more viewers. You and Alisha are absolutely right - it should never have aired.
I am going to admit, I stumbled across your channel purely by accident because like you and so many others, I have been rewatching my favourite ANTM series and I always wondered what was going through your head and the other models' heads when this moment happened. I love how Louise doesn't take this nonsense from Kelly - did even the first time - but I couldn't help wonder what it was like in the room. I am sorry for my babbling; I will subscribe now.
The whole thing about "This is a publicist. There is a rank." Sure, but part of that is, you know, being an actually good publicist. Pull the model aside and talk to her. Don't reprimand her in front of hairdressers, makeup artists, and other models because _your job_ is to build a model's image, not tear it down.
I don't know why you make me laugh a lot. I had a lot of laughs watching this. I guess you really are a presence and personality model, more than a model-model. Love it
I remembered this episode very well, and even Sophie open for two but out of the three of you openers, my personal favourite was actually you, I just thought the style and the look you fit perfectly. And I don't really think Sophie's walk was that great to get her open for two, I do believe a lot of results were staged by the producers... You and alieesha are my two favourites out of all the girls...
