Tears for Fears were always more ambitious than the average synth pop group. From the beginning, the duo of Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith were tackling big subjects -- their very name derived from Arthur Janov's primal scream therapy, and his theories were evident throughout their debut, The Hurting. Driven by catchy, infectious synth pop, The Hurting became a big hit in their native England, setting the stage for international stardom with their second album, 1985's Songs From the Big Chair.
On the strength of the singles "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" and "Shout," the record became a major hit, establishing the duo as one of the leading acts of the second generation of MTV stars.
No longer interested since you used AI art for an album cover. If you're gonna support AI illustration/photography then why not AI music - thus negating your entire careers and ruining all creative industries as well as the internet, for everyone. Talk about pulling up the ladder. You've had your success, now Billionaire data centre owners can create all the music and art and burn the planet doing so. You should be opposing AI, all that it stands for and all those it enriches. It is soul destroying. 😒
I have to admit...I haven't been interested in your music AT ALL since the late 80s. I still remembered 2-3 tracks, and then just a few days ago I “stumbled across your album”. WOW! Have your lyrics (apart from the 2-3 songs I know) always been so brilliant? and which DRIVE you develop musically... that's... WOW, unfortunately I can't think of anything else. I'm amazed! absolutely AWESOME! I wish you a long happy life and hopefully more such brilliant songs !
