Those sand worms might be good around the Chesapeake Bay. I use Gulp swimming mullet, shrimp, and jerk shads all the time for flounder. Jig heads and Gulp are hard to beat for flounder, redfish, trout, and just about everything bites them. The folks that fish for spots and croakers might do well with the sand worms, and if there are 4 or 5" versions they could work on flounder. I don't think I've seen them here.
@RaymondLejano I'm sorry to hear that... It is a sabiki rod that I bought from Turner's... And I believe, I diawa core. I am gonna have to get back to you on the exact model numbers...
I still have my wife's 1978 Zebco in the storage box these new ones made in china isn't worth the money you pay for them I bought a kastking spincast for her and she likes that better
My Phenix trifecta lite broke its tip. I think I’m going to have to replace it with this. The specs of the ML match that rod so perfect and the blue color will match my saltist MQ haha
You guys inspired me to upgrade my 2010 Mirage Sport. I added a flag using marine rivets, and I added a Mirage Drive 180 with kick up fins. All I had to do for the drive was cut off the guide pins like you did. Thanks for posting!
I understand that. It is WAY better to lose a rod holder than to damage our kayaks.. However, they are too flexible. I lost a rod holder while exiting my kayak on a lake. Just the force of the kayak rocking back and forth caused it to pop out of the track. I have used the scotty brand, yakattak, and several others. They are all very sturdy in comparison.
Have you considered doubling the number of track mounting screws? The distance between the mounting screws looks like it allows the plastic track to flex enough to allow the rod holders to pop out. Certainly, something to consider that would require very little work.
@@jwestfishing3229 awesome I had a terrible experience with the hodgeman when the sole ripped and sand started to enter I do a lot of rock hopping/ walking on rocky beaches do you think those will work for that? I want something durable but still fairly light
