This is priceless info for early Gen 1 cars. Ive a 2005 and have used the jump position under the bonnet to unlock doors. But this doesnt usually unlock boot. I am currently with a dead battery and will be trying to add 12v to the fuse to see if it is enough to unlock boot with remote. 🤞🏻
Right side if you in car facing back. Get a pole and open ski hatch. You might need someone to help boot open once you hit the handle inside. Use a torch to locate it
@@shaazy I'm UK. It does on right side of boot. Small handle for emergency release. You catch it with a broom handle or similar and push it down I think to open. Defo works
@@nigelgriffin1691 my best tip is keep the car moving. I made the mistake of purchasing a good one and left it for a month over Christmas. Didn't like it. Needs to be out once a week minimum. The more you drive, the less the bills 😂
It's the nozzle. It was clogged and I ended up drilling it out with a tiny drill (still too big). Plus I didnt put the nozzle back in far enough as it caught the bed even after calibration. I'll order a new nozzle now I know it works. £20 for printer but gave extra tenner for bag of goodies so £30 all in. 3 hours use on the firmware.
I believe the overseas owner had to live in the hotel for a while due to issues with his leave or something of that nature. Very quirky looking car with the wrap. Thanks for the comment
No it looked like a number stuck ontop of another. Poss had original dealer plates on that had faded, or even a private plate. I've seen it a few times and I think I did it myself once when in a rush 😂.
These old dutches need to be drove in slow motion, with debuse's " claire da lume" as the sound track. Truly beautiful, makes my day to see one out, just the same as when a spitfire goes over head👍👍👍👍👍
The 3.4 engine was downrated for tax purposes related to business fleets. That engine could be fragile if pushed too hard. The cars also had more basic interiors and a short option list. I owned a 1984 Series 3 XJ6 Sovereign and enjoyed it for nearly 30 years. Sold it at auction when I retired and moved home.
@@timmzey_1985 Thanks for replying 🙂 . They are beautiful in British Racing Green with Kent wheels !!! . I chatted to a gentleman back in the late 90's who owned one but replaced it for a Saab 9000 . He told me how lovely the car was but he knew that every time he past a lamp post .... another gallon of fuel had gone !!! . But ????... the best 4 dr saloon car in the world 🙂
@@stevejelly3161 mine unfortunately met its fate colliding with not 1, or even 2 but 3 Trees... Managed to hit almost every panel with a hide speed spinning crash. 20 years later the Grill is still embedded in one of the trees. I've had the later X300, then the X308 (Inc XJR) and then onto the X350. I love them all.
@@timmzey_1985 Oh dear 😞.... i'm guessing that was a V12 that hit all the trees ???? . As long as you were ok ???? . timm.... it was that Series 3 that was outstanding . i worked for a Rover / Range Rover / Jaguar dealership back in the late 80's .... and i loved how the refrigerated air used to "churn" out of those Jaguars ..... but i never drove one .... but i wanted to esp the XJS . But as time goes on ????...... it's the Series 3 that bites me . We know the government are forcing them off the road and they are loosing their value . A fellow round the corner from me (only a wimpey house) .... sold a light blue Bentley Eight .... mot'd for £2,000 as he's unwell . Triumph Stags are dropping like stones . And..... the "furniture" in the road is just dreadful ........ . But they are lovely mate .... without question
