I've had mine since 1998 if memory serves correctly. It is such a wonderful little synth with a fair amount of horsepower under the hood. As you say, it comes bundled with some awesome pad sounds and synth pads that pack quite a punch. I won't ever get rid of mine, that is for sure. I also have a MODX7 purchased in 2019 and the difference between the two is mind-blowing, to say the least. The cool thing with the MODX is that it also has Scenes, so you can come up with a cool sound and have up to eight Scenes to express different types of sounds with your patch. Anyway, thanks for the video let's share the CS1x love!
This video needs to be redone. It starts off with misinformation. The pedal is hybrid technology. Meaning it has analog drive circuitry in addition to the digital processing. It's in the name of the pedal. I've watched too many RU-vid videos on this pedal where presenters didn't even bother to learn the basic facts of the product.
Zachari Smith...In fact, it does not have a ''Strat kind of body''...It has a Bullet One double cutaway body that is much smaller than a Strat and has no tummy cut, input jack cut or arm relief and in much closer in shape and size to the Musicmaster and Duo Sonic that the Bullet One replaced in the student/budget model line...I also has a Bullet One neck and it's printed right on the headstock...Furthermore, if the neck is dated Dec 12 1983...then it is most likely a 1984 model...
Hopefully you have been out of school long enough for the statute of limitations to have sunset on the band teacher's conversion of public property charge.
I've used one for years. There are lots of pluses and minuses. If you have an undersaddle pickup with lots of piezo 'quack'...then this unit can really help. I have two guitars with LR Baggs Anthem (awesome by themselves) and one with a K&K mini (sounds 'good', but not as good as the Anthem) Most of the stored tones in the Aura are really quite bad. I would never use them by themselves. But Fishman says the best way to use the Aura is a mix of your guitar, and the pedal. They say the best is somewhere between 40-60%....which means somewhere between 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock on the blend knob. But honestly most of the time I use 100% guitar and don't use any of the stored sounds. I know that sounds like a waste of a pedal, but it's paid for and I like having eq at my feet. (instead of having to fumble over to the mixer.) I do have a 12 string with an undersaddle, and the Aura helps me dial out the quack. Also, for a one knob compressor, it's great. Would I buy it again? No...I'd buy a compressor and an eq.
I got this a while ago and enjoy it but didn't did magic in it like I did with the malekko id600 or the fancy memory man pedals, but more recently I've seen people raving about the preamp or compander aspect of the ad999 and how dynamic it is in terms the volume and character of the repeat when you dig in vs play softly- I'm excited to try that again with this pedal. For me the dark version of the malekko 616 Delay is about the most perfect overall delay pedal - my favorite hands down.
I have one, seldom used, loved it when It was operational. Bought it in Denmark st London. Recently i had a gig I wanted to use it as a 12 string emulator, No sound came out !!!!! 🥵😱😨😰😥 It was always in the box in my guitar case, well preserved. Sent it to my friendly Guitar shop. He says its Kaputzzz, cant be repaired. My advice, Dont Buy !
I have one of one of these synths. I really love it, I have haved used this one lots in most, but not all of my music ablums. I have also used lots too the YAMAHA CS2x a few times for my last music album, though I hope that it won't be my very last one. The most used keyboards that I have ever used, has been both the Korg microKORG & The Korg MicroKORG XL
Hi Zachari, Nice video. Great to see how you are sequencing everything. Would you be able to share the custom midi map settings for the Nord 3P please? I am having trouble fully sequencing all the parameters for it. Would be very grateful.
Great guitar! I just bought one myself. It’s on its way to me and so I’m watching videos in anticipation. Question, you’re getting great sound, what recording equipment are you using? Thanks
Looking into getting one of these- I'm curious if 2 sounds can be inputted per each of the 12 banks how you can get to the second sound within the same bank? Your demo only shows the 12 kicks in the 12 banks.
The second bank of 12 sounds only comes out the phones output. It’s designed to be a click track that you would have along with a song in the main folder but it could be used in other ways (ie. having secondary sounds). Hope that helps to clarify!
Both are great. Matriarch had a stereo filter, plus a stereo delay. Depends on how you define better, because that's pretty subjective. Bur you'd be set very well with either.
