Hey iam doing a 212cc swap on mine what sprocket size do I use planning on getting a 30 series torque converter on ebay not sure what sprocket number to buy plz lmk thanks love your build wanna try to copy it
22 lb valve springs are crazy especially if you put the stock one down inde it. That increased pressure is going to prematurally wear down the lobes on your cam. I just installed 18 lb valve springs in my engine good to 6200rpm. Bad news is at max cam lift the coils actually stack with no clearance between the windings. NOT GOOD!
Nice I want to build a side car that leans when I do.. So having better geometry and a hydraulic cushioned shock is definitely the answer for me.. Thanks for the idea 💡
It's worth fixing. Hope you find a fix soon. I'm very happy with my 98cc Coleman with belt drive kit. I won't be jumping off any curbs after seeing this. Thanks for posting.
If it was me I would go ahead and beef it up now. It's all apart now and it will never be 100% around the weld again. The tensioner may be a factor in it cracking but I think more than likely it's wat I call the two stroke buzz. Not necessarily an engine balance issue but they do have some buzzy harmonics. JMHO...
Nickles are nickles. Add a piece into the welding to strengthen it. Ie. Cut a small steel sleeve from a handle bar and insert it as able you would double cut the tube and make the steel slip just a tad longer. You can actually heavy down your bike. Pro tip add sand into your tubes to strengthen . Drill hole and insert and weld shit. Heavier yes more momentum….yes harder wear on engine….. check going down a gear on your drive 10/9 if you want longevity if you want speed 11/38 might last with the weight
Thanks foir posting It cracked cause it chinezeum aluminum I have a raleigh Portage bike with an aluminum frame and it outlasted 2 motors with no issues I even bent a tensioner when bump starting and chain jammed no cracks, Don't trust those Chinese aluminum gas-frame bikes. Good thing you can tig weld cause your going to need it. The seatpost cracks at the rear mount and the frame cracks a few inches behind the steer tube and the frame cracks in front of the rear facing dropouts @roger Stafford showed me on 3 gas-frame bikes. check those spots too, Bro.
Funny I just posted and gave you a thumbs up and started reading it. Thanks for the shout out Paul. I don’t know if I’ve got my playlist uploaded to help people. Maybe we should do something on frames as well. Have a great day, brother.
@@engineunknown2 Good to hear. People bolt the motor under tension and crack the seat tube . i have broken 8mm ss studs that way when I first built my bike also causes bad vibration. I do love the look of the gas frame though.
@@engineunknown2I got the same motor and I have to pedal to take off. I’m running the AV85 with a SP intake and mikuni VM18 and a gomax mz65 pipe and I have to pedal to at least 12mph to have a smooth take off.
Is this a stock avenger 85 or a stage 2 cause i thought more teeth equals lower top speed maybe im wrong kinda new to this ive heard they can usually do 45-50 out the box fairly easily but those usually have no more than like 44 teeth on theirs
That's why I refuse to buy any brand of aluminum gas tank frame.....If they were steel with a rear suspension.....I'd buy one for sure. I think they'd sell way more frames, if they were steel & rear suspension. If someone didn't want rear suspension. They could just lock it out or replace the shock with a metal rod.
Sorry about your health. Get well! You just can't be surprised that you cracked the frame. You've been around long enough to see it happen to several 212 builds. Then you put a high revving motor on it...
You look like a bigger guy too. Someone 150 or less it'd almost certainly hit over 50mph. I'm going to see what I can do with a 4 stroke for a while and then perhaps a 50-90cc water cooled Moped engine of around 10hp. I like to ride fast and that looks sweet. The AT looks like it should be stable enough for around 50-60. I probably don't want or need to go faster than 40-50. Looking forward to seeing another modded Lifan vid.
This is the one I used www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=gomaxind.com/products/avenger-85-window-piston&ved=2ahUKEwjxwsbgtrGHAxXihYkEHW8mCQgQFnoECBoQAQ&usg=AOvVaw2-lVQ9iCrmnRakdtORB4rO
@@engineunknown2 I'm in the same boat I had a budy that put a ktm 50 2 stroke I think he got it from a moped but it blew up on him after lol it was ok the top speed was 38 mph but the ktm 65 is a whole other beast I'm just saving up funds on getting a good frame and parts to handle the speeds coming out of the ktm 65. I think is should go like 70 mph.
