Oh my gosh thanks so much for explaining all of this and showing us how the wings work! I’ve been trying forever trying to figure them out for my Pegasus oc! His is gonna help a lot! And especially the celestia wing flap as well! I didn’t know that there was a bigger difference with Celestias wings and regular Pegasus wings to make them fully functional.
When I watched this video honestly opened my eyes to so much and helped my apritate this show in new ways that I hadn't thought possible at the time. Kudos for honestly one of the most well put together animation analysis that has stuck in mind throughout the years
not sure where you are now grant, but thanks for making these analysis videos, they've helped me a lot in my journey into learning animation, you were a huge inspiration to me. thanks again man :)
@@Peaches-tmu that app doesn't exist anymore, now it's called adobe animate and it's very different from that one he's using in the vid it's not free, but you there are free links to download it everywhere on the internet
Fr tho I was obsessed with My Little Pony and it was your animation breakdowns that started me on the path to seeing animation as a viable career path and lifelong passion so I came back to take a trip down memory lane and rewatch this and thought I should thank you for what an impact your videos had on me. You made animation seem very approachable and understandable and related it to something I was already deeply passionate about. Sometimes I still use your videos as reference for animating for how well you break things down. Fr doing God's work I hope life has treated you well since :)
there was a channel from around this time made by one of the animators of mlp who had a few videos of the process of animating after stages of feedback until the final aired version. wish i remembered it but either it's deleted or the youtube search sucks
Hi, bro! I'm not sure if you're still around on YT after 10 years but do you know where I can find some animation puppets/kits for the Mane 6 and other prominent characters? I wish to learn how to animate ponies but it's 2023 and I don't think many people share these resources anymore.
Being neurodivergent my learning process leaves me not understanding close to 0% of most RU-vid Tutorials, but these videos, from a whole decade ago is more helpful that anything else ive found!! I love em,! I wonder where he is now
I doubt that you come back to check on these videos, but this is one of the bigger things that helped me get into animation when i was younger, even though I didnt have flash haha, i used flipaclip, but i dont know if you ever knew this but you do a very good job explaining the basics of animations to new beginners and I look up to you a lot for that
casually rewatching these after years of not looking back and i have to say- These videos were absolutely what got me interested in animation as a kid. While i'm no expert animator the analysis videos were really fun and informative, thank you for making them and keeping them listed after all these years.
This helped me so much with musical timing so much. Everything has to be in sync with the beat all the time, or else the character seems off somehow. Now if only the guy who made that horrific Cats movie had even had half of this same level of understanding of movement and rhythm
Man, even if this channel has been dormant for almost a decade, I love returning to these animation lessons every so often just as a brush up. I havent ever used flash animation-hell I've hardly ever animated ever, but these breakdowns are so clear and concise that I've been using these as a backbone for my drawings for as long as I can remember
