"If you always liked the idea of flying a tubeliner, but were worried that the boring bit in the middle wasn't long enough, then this release could be for you!" ;)
You always make really wonderful review videos. I thoroughly enjoyed this one, and I will definitely be buying this scenery. It looks absolutely awesome!
I don't catch every episode, but I'm always glad when I do. You all bring unique opinions, experiences, and expertise, but above all, I appreciate your consistent message that there is room in the sim community for everyone. I read so much about how supporting one part of the audience is "ruining" it for another part, and I just find that mindset so sad.
I thought you were going to say that their version of the Cub had air to air refuelling :D I’ve been wishing for A2As Cub to be in msfs for ages, might look into this one though.
You guys should tell them to have FSEconomy into account to improve the career mod (the way jobs are created, having an aircraft market, owning FOB at the airports etc). Of course not 1 to 1, but some of the FSEconomy features are great, their persistent world works great.
About Aerosoft : They talked about the A330 saying that there will be "a 2024 release, then a 2020 later", which makes me think about "the announced reverse compatibility of all our planes" with the next MSFs version... And yeah since the Twotter mess up, I have an eye on them, but they didn't deliver so far.
Picking up on the hopes for an easy to use and flexible Mission Editor my strong suspicion is that so far MS/Asobo are just planning on using the existing editor although perhaps with a few tweaks. You only have to look at what they did, or didn't, in terms of a replay tool. Even if they are persuaded to come up with a decent editor it's as virtual certainty it won't be in place for the initial release and most probably at least six months after release.
Hello grumpy trio! I would love you to ask Jorg these 3 things that i think need lots of improvement in fs2020: 1) the weathervaning is over exaggerated, specially on the water, is impossible to turn the icon with water rudders down in a 5kt wind. 2) control sensitivity and resolution with our peripheral axis and trimming needs a lot of improvement. 3) peripheral profiles ( but i think they already addressing this in fs2024)
Who's PC? IM not PC. where did that come from? Hehe. Drew rubbed off on me. Seb states VR in 2024 is incredible. Ummm what exactly is new that makes it incredible?
I have a couple of questions about fs2020 1:for as long the sim have been released, the landinggears of ai and multiplayer aircraft have very low drawdistance, it looks like planes are landing with gears retracted. Even when object lod is on 200. Will they ever adress this? As it ruins the imersion with ai aircrafts. 2: Will there be any updates to VR, still alot of things that need fixing, like the handcontrollers, the toolbar in external and droneview not visible, alot of times when loading new flight the "start" button is not there so you need to restart for it to appear, and it still is a problem that the sim dont remember resizing window size.
What has happened to the cockpit builders. I bought 2020 on the expectation that I could integrate it with my cockpit build. I wasn’t able to remove or move around parts of the aeroplane to achieve this as per X-Plane. I’m still waiting on that promise from ASOBO…. Will this be integrated into the 2024 version? I hope so….
Hilarious: "They got in a plane (usually a 747), looked at their house, crashed into their house, and then said 'now what?'" Here's an idea. Tell the sim which is your house. The sim then creates a copy of your house near every airport in the world. Now you can crash into your house all over the place, never running ut of the fun of destroying your home. Very nice video, you found a ton of things I never would have noticed or understood. Thanks!
18:23 That's an Air Tractor AT-802F in FireBoss form, and no it's not the CL-415's replacement they are just showing off planes that weren't announced. I can also see the AT-802 getting a crop sprayer form later down the line. If they gave the S-64 other rolls, they should give the Air Tractor similar treatment. The A330 is probably the first out of "many airliners" that Jorg said at last years expo. In the first trailer it showed the A330 with Rolls Royce engines along with a distant parked A380. (which I bet is AI along with the 777 in the new trailer).
I would say they have done some magic with the terrain autogen. You cannot get good definition to almost vertical surfaces such as the rock pillars clearly visible in the trailer since even most detailed digital elevation map is describing the elevations in horizontal grid meaning that more the vertical tilt there is the less definition you get.
Thanks Novawing. I think SCS taking that approach is more about them needing to add charging points all over the map and realising that it might take a while. Tempted to fire up ETS2 and give it a look though.
Would you believe I still have not even flown the Phantom yet? I spent an evening doing my keybinds, and I wanted to at least do some of the tutorials this weekend, but I got sucked into Elder Scrolls Online and have not left. 😂🤣
My first reaction on seeing the xplane version of that airport was how it looks much more realistic than the MSFS version :D Yeah maybe I'm biased, and it doesn't have the 3D grass, but it looked more real to me. Maybe just me :)
