As a kid, Austin native Valentine visited the UK several times with her moms, who is English. On one such trip in 1975, she joined the fledgling hard rock female band Girlschool, who would later become allies with Motorhead. When she returned to Texas, Valentine formed the Violators, Austin's first punk band, before leaving town again for Los Angeles, where she joined...the Go- Go's.
I was there with my daughter (21). My daughter’s 2nd gig. Her first one was in my wife’s belly (8 months pregnant) in 2002 at the Spitz in East London ( Chris Martin was in the audience) We met Gemma after the Omeara gig and I told her the story. This gig was ever so special and thanks for filming it🙏👍
I still have the old CD of the first album with Prophecy of Doom on 1 CD. "Rise.." and "Satori" are some fantastic albums. I still hope there will be another album someday.
