Welcome! On this channel, I take you along with me as I explore the country and, every now and then, give my two cents on the spiritual journey that has helped me face the darkness of addiction and come out completely renewed and ready to dance with life again. Whether I am road-tripping with my cat Bengal in my Jeep Wrangler 4xe (Infinity-Gecko), crossing another state off the high pointer's list or just hiking a nearby trail, I hope you will find something here that entices you to get out there and discover some of those untouched gems in your own backyard. Thanks for watching and on to the next trail!

Can you leave the climate control on while you sleep and it will run off the hybrid battery?
@charliepiazza
@charliepiazza 13 дней назад
Yes, if the Jeep is put in electric mode. However, depending on how much it needs to run to retain your set conditions, it may run the battery down fast. For example, I would use it on road trips if for some reason I needed to go into a store or something short term with my cat in the car. Then, I’d unplug the doors and run the A/C on electric and she would be comfortable. I did try to use it at campsites through the night, but the 4xe battery would run out by early morning the next day at the latest. I learned to use the battery to power a fan which kept working all through the night with a lot of the percentage left to spare even when I woke up the next day. It’s helpful to have a Jackery too as another source of battery power, but a fan and other devices directly into the Jeep’s hybrid battery will last a fairly long time. Always test your setup before venturing out. I did learn that the hard way lol. Hopefully that helps.

@charliepiazza
@charliepiazza 13 дней назад
@@diaperdood1 no, if I remember correctly, when I tried to use electric mode while camping/sleeping, I woke up to the car off when the hybrid battery ran out…but don’t quote me on that bc it’s been awhile since I tried that and my memory is foggy. I do not remember the engine turning on though.

This is so great. I came back into being an artist after a 20 year break about 6 years ago. It has asked me to put myself out there in ways I wouldn’t have otherwise. I’ve also learned to network through it and am still learning and facing major discomfort along the way. My fears are around worthiness, standing out, and what I’m capable of - trusting my intelligence. What I notice as I go through this is that no one is better than anyone else and we’re all facing different things. You start to see that. Great video. Thank you for sharing.

The first thing you should know when owning a dodge or jeep, is that your first WTF moment will be between 35 and 45,000 miles

@@charliepiazza I’m 52. I have had nothing but Dodges and jeeps my entire life. If I count them off the top of my head about eight dodges and probably about six jeeps. I have always had something go wrong between 35 and 45,000 miles. Nothing serious. Blower goes out, fuse blown, windows roll up crooked and need to be realigned, Engine lights coming on for no apparent reason. A myriad of stuff. But for some reason, it’s always between those two mileage stamps. I’d say the most frustrating was the engine light kept coming on on my Dodge truck and nobody knew why. They just kept clearing it and I’d come back a month later with another engine light. Nothing too much to worry about Unless you’re warranty expired. lol

Does the 4xe make any noises at night when you're sleeping? I was in another forum that said the jeep kept turning on in the middle of the night while they were trying to sleep but then maybe it was because they had a wireless carplay adapter plugged in.

The app is absolute joke, rarely connects with the Jeep, refreshing the app does nothing, need to uninstall and re install the app to get it to connect to the Jeep. when it does work, its great, most of the time it doesn't work, at the end of the 1 year free subscription, you must pay $30.00 a month to continue using the app. No thanks

As kids we used to walk across the GWB and explore the cliffs all the time. AS I remember what we called "The Frankenstein Stairs" was fairly close to the picnic area on the shore just north of the bridge. Winter brought giant icicles that formed and fell off the cliffs.

The angle of attack on the JL windshield is way more aerodynamic than previous models. Just watch how and where you drive could save you a couple windshields. I’m sure they will only get more expensive with ACC and the built in antennas as time goes on.
@charliepiazza
@charliepiazza Год назад
Yeah I saw that about the antennas. I haven't had a problem with the glass since it was replaced with Gorilla Glass as was on my initial build so I venture you're right.
