I grew up in North Van. I didn’t fit in there at all. My parents took me to Whistler every weekend and I HATED it. Athleticism may be an aspect of Canadian national identity, but it’s not a personal strength of mine😅 10 years ago we moved to California and I didn’t think I missed the slopes, but when I saw the interior of that lodge, I was back in 2009 and burst into tears.
