Back when meadowlands harness racing was the best harness racing in the world. It's amazing how harness or thoroughbred racing can change so much in a 15-year period . Harness racing in Thoroughbred racing were so much better 15 years ago and before then too. It just seems different in 2024, meadowlands seems much different. Even the Thoroughbred tracks Belmont aqueduct ,Saratoga seems a lot better a long time ago back when I was 16 , 20 years old, all the way back to 1986 88. Racing just seemed so much better then . The jockeys were amazing. Don't get me wrong there's some great jockeys out there in this time era. Back in the day though back then, there was the best Angel cordero , Robbie Davis, Jerry Bailey, then you have guys like Pat Day Ramon Dominguez , Kent desormeaux, Johnny Velasquez he still racing. These are all great world-class Jockeys . Horse racing , harness racing just seemed better back in the day, maybe it's just because I was younger, I'm not sure.
