Will this app let me know about road construction and give me a heads up on ruff roads Because there some stretches that beat up my RV something ferrous
I wish I had seen this video before rushing off on my first RV trip. Would have saved me a lot of swearing as I tried to plan travel on the fly. 🤪 Now it all makes sense. One thing I tried to do, that the locked dates prevents me from doing is to mark multiple options for a given over night stay. From the road, I was looking for a truck stop, superstore parking lot to stay at tonight. I want to put them both in because I'm not sure how far I'm going to drive, 200 or 250 miles. I'd like to have them both show up for tonight. Similarly maybe in 2 nights I'm not sure which, but I want to "bookmark" possible locations which will be for the same night but not determined yet which one. Since I've only used RV Trip Planner for about 7 days, there may be a work around, but I don't see it yet.
searched for 2 well known camp rv area, different filters, no where to be found on app/map. sent them a message . wait and see. disappointed thus far. thank god i didn't upgrade to money level. if it cant find well established places makes me worried
recommended downloaded searched 2 well known camp sites one state on rv park neither shows up on map, sent then a message, wait and see. disappointed thus far, tried different filters no luck. these are well known and over 40 yrs old, canoeing and camping meccas in area
my trip doesn't show fuel warnings. How do I get those to show up? The app/website doesn't have any Help tabs or search capabilities. I have input all my RV data as far as fuel type, avg speed, gallons it holds etc and saved that data but still no warnings about fuel.
Being new to RV Life - I was excited to see a Product Training video - UNTIL I starting watching it… Why on Earth would you have someone speak so FAST & click tabs like they are racing through a Thunderstorm.. So disappointing.. Hopefully one of the Full timers has a video showing us a better representation of this - I really want to get my first Trip Planned!!
too fast. Most of us RVers are older and have a hard time keeping up with all of the newfangled things she is talking about. Please put out another tutorial that has someone talking to us and not at us.
I was trying to see if I was missing something. You can only navigate from Campground to Campground. When you put trips in, you can only use the preprogrammed origin and destination points. I can't enter my home address or my in-laws address (who have an RV hook up on their property). It is kind of useless for my needs.
Great for planning campgrounds, but have to rely on RV Garmin to find closed roads. RV Life has gotten me into 3 bad situations in last 6 months inwhich I had to unhitch my toad to be able to turn around due to road closure. Sorry RV life, your great at planning and maintenence logs but for utilizing the GPS guidence.
Thanks for these clarifications….seems like if a person selects a non commercial campground that the KOA and other memberships would be “grayed out” ….
22 minutes to explain a " really confusing" feature. (That means the problem is in the interface design, not the user. Maybe add an informational link to guide users) tl;dr: 1. Open record. 2 . Check "lock date" check box. 3. two clicks!--click start date and end date. that should do it. Number of nights will automatically populate. 4. save. If you need to change, just open the record to edit, then two clicks again.
Yeah, not working for me 😢 good video but looks like I have an outdated version. All my campgrounds are the same colour? And the filter and park types on mine just aren’t the same when I follow along. Didn’t think I need a master class to use what looked like a simple app. Been using on and off for a couple weeks. How do I get the version that colour codes the parks and other filters?
We are traveling from Orlando to Nova Scotia, Does the Wizard have a feature that can map out our destination with 5 hour driving days? I have the RV Life premium app and have been trying to navigate the Trip Wizard but I havent been able to figure out how to make it show me all the 5 hour distances? can you help me?
How do I keep waypoints from dissappearing. I have to keep fixing my route and am becoming increasingly frustrated. I know the best way out of my town it is NOT the 50 mile out of the way route the app is trying to make me go.
Thanks for the overview and step by step instructions. Maybe do it a little slower in the future, for those of us trying to learn and keep up. Other than that, thanks for the good video.
The actions by the narrator in this video move way to fast for what I thought was an introduction to using the Trip Wizard. It is a great video for someone that understands the basics of using Trip Wizard. IMHO what is needed is a simpler introduction video (smaller in the scope of features addressed) in which the speaker identifies exactly what they are clicking on EACH time they move the mouse and pausing briefly to let the viewer absorb what the narrator just said & did. Perhaps only covering a simple one night stop enroute to a destination. Then use this video to introduce the many other features & options available. I'm a very experienced computer & nav app user and this video moves way too quickly for me to easily understand how to create a first trip without watching it multiple times, which for me is a disincentive to watching and even subscribing to this product. Please make a simpler, slower moving intro video for using Trip Wizard that is truly geared to newbies. Thanx.☹
We can't use this, it continually adds unreasonable amounts of time and distance to all our trips. For example, simply going 60-100 miles, RV Life will add a route between 45 and 90 minutes longer than say Google maps. On a recent trip to Myrtle Beach from Ohio, RV Life added an additional 4.5 hours onto the trip. It's totally unacceptable. We followed the Google route and had zero issues, and arrived almost 5 hours earlier than we would have if we used RV Life.
You can adjust your driving speed entry to whatever you want it to be In Trip Wizard. They use your entry for driving estimates. Google maps uses the stated speeds but most RVers do not drive that fast.
