Donated for first time last weekend. O- I have always stressed over having blood tests and finally got out of my own head. This was not without a little vasovagal reaction when the needle was removed. Resumed composure in a few minutes and will continue to do this until it’s a non event. Needles don’t bother me so not sure what it is.
Ok thats fine i have in my family x 4 o neg blood group me x2 sons + 1 grandson i live in essex i have belonged to national blood transfusion service in nottingham (green card) i gave blood when i lived there i am healthy and fit all criterias but i am getting a bit sick and tired of you lot and i wonder if it is really true ?? I don't know but its out there as even after i miscarried x2 children before the nhs sorted it out !! but hey you lot need to make up your minds before you start putting it out on national british tv and get your act together poor children die while u lot sit there its a national joke and yes i emailed every news outlet who had anything to say about it also good luck on saving lives !!?!!
They say there is a shortage of blood...I tried to go online to book and I'm in a queue to get on the website. Is everyone trying to book at the same time? The last time I booked, the appointment was months away. sigh. I'll keep trying ...
They are ! I donated last week and they have been inundated as they have put the word out . I am not the blood type they are desperate for but I am glad to do my bit
Great to see both guys helping with this cause, which I’m sure would have been for no pay in return. Unlike Sean Bean (or more so his agent), who insisted on being paid top dollar from a non-profit making organisation.
Ok someone please answer me because I don’t get it, why do they apologise for Ryan at the end? What does he do worth saying sorry for? It’s really not a big deal but simultaneously it’s really doing my head in 😂
It really does not hurt, it just feels like a scratch or a pinch. The feeling after knowing you could be helping to save lives last's for hours and hours!
Actually the rules have changed as long as you've got the same partner for 3 months you can donate blood. So now there is no excuse to do something amazing 😊💪🩸
Kid holding the rocket and dressed in blue...betcha he's a neg...going on clues here!. Anyhow, anyone else just find it a little bit in your face that it's "the aliens" telling you about blood types and Rh factors?. Some of these videos are just so in your face if you read into most of this stuff. Oh and maybe the NHS need to realise that "RH" is also the Egyptian word "Reh" which also was "to know or to create"...so if you want to create a life you have to "know" your "Rh" (that's reh not rhesus status)...it's almost as interestingly hidden language and in your face just like the word "children"...but that's another lesson...
I’m looking for the published (???) outcomes resulting from this policy change in a year or two. Will the number of HIV+ donors detected during the blood specimen testing increase significantly? Will a spike, even a small one, in transfusion infections occur? If either of these happen what will/should the MEDICALLY RESPONSIBLE reaction be? Will we even hear about it? Or will political correctness overrule sound reason?
I’ve been donating blood for close to 3 years now. My blood type is A+ so not everyone can receive my blood but I try to donate at least once every 3 months to those in need.
This is an awful video - what is with the 'Don't call me love' line? Give her a sensible script and make her stick to it rather than let her run with her ridiculous 'comedy' act. This would make me think again about giving blood rather than give blood
here in germany i can donate plasma every 3 days to a maximum of 60x per half year. unlike blood donations its even compensated. for me its roughly 25€. a friend of mine in the US got a whole lot more though. in the information video i had to watch as part of the first signup it was explained that we can donate sooner again after a donation because unlike a blood donation, with plasma donations we keep the hemoglobin and the plasma is reproduced in 2 days where the hemoglobin takes 2 weeks.
