An amateur photographer taking an opportunity to try something a little different. My films tend to be short ones taken whilst out walking or driving of things I might find interesting, they are normally set to a piece of music to add to the feel. I also put up photographic slideshows set to music.
I watched them all as a kid, I watch them now and have every season on Dvd and I come back to this video from time to time, I'm going through a lot at the min and these songs give me peace and memories of a simpler time as a kid... Thank you for putting these together, you've done a great job
As a child in the 1950`s i used to play in the ruins of Crow nest Park with my brother and sister, having great adventures around it`s boating lake. I also used to go with Susan the milk horse where we would turn right at Hipperholme traffic lights heading back to Hoyle house farm via Lightcliffe. I do not remember the tram way then.
Great video, can't believe how much every where's changed over the years. Just woods now Triangle old line and Elland station 2026 to be finished, maybe.
Anytime I hear these songs from all the early years series in the 80s make me all warm and nostalgic when it was a happier easier time. Best show imo with the characters and music with locations made the first few seasons absolutely timeless classics. Loved the 2 German seasons and I also loved the Next seasons at Thornley Manor and Spain. Just the best show ever. ✌️👍✌️
As an ancient person I would love to explore much of UK industrial industry, but do not have the energy. However, these videos fill the gap very satisfactorily.
I’ve crossed this bridge literally thousands of times in my 40 years of driving on & off the island, but this is quite a different view to any I’ve seen. Obviously taken from a lorry or some other high vehicle. Great footage - thanks for sharing.
Ahh it's very interesting actually, but while the majority of viewers tend to prefer the first series, i'm one who disagrees and rebels against the masses. It's because i refuse, i refuse to be lead by others. I prefer the second series. If anyone's interested i've made a very interesting diagram explaining it all. It's no sweat off my arse though if you lot couldn't give a toss. 😆 😆😆😆(i think i made a good choice explaining that in Barry's words, though Oz was my first choice, but i wasn't sure how to spell much Geordie dialect lol).
Nice montage of pictures of the old Halifax railway 🤩 We once had a fantastic rail network that was pulled up to quickly in the 60s 😞 Car and lorry was king back then but the tide is turning slowly but we’ve pulled it all up when we need it now 🤔 Fuel will never come down in price now and I’m putting a £1000 a week of diesel in my lorry 🚛 😫 Nit everyone can afford an electric car and we will never have enough reliable charging points to meet demand never mind the electricity ⚡️ lol 😆 So a good reliable affordable public transport system is need for our future 👍🏻 I can remember back in the 60s as a little boy travelling all over by rail and bus with my parents with no problem at all 😂
Well that was LOVELY - but why didn't you show the beautiful architecture of the houses alongside the railway line and other views too? They are truly beautiful.
