Ace of Base was NOT new in 1995! I was watching their "All That She Wants" video on MTV in April 1993. In 1995, their second album came out with their hit "Beautiful Life." What the hell are they up for "New Artist" for in 1995?!?! Sheryl Crow screwed over Kevin Gilbert, who wrote a good chunk of her first album and played multiple instruments on it. She just used the musicians of the Tuesday Night Music Club to get famous and then she cast them into the ditch.
