This Channel is about my photography and videography gear and the work that I make with it. I want to take everyone along to all the projects and trips that I take to give you a first person view into the life of a working photographer
I sometimes go back to this channel hoping that somthing new would be here, I remember this channel really sparking my interest in photography, hope Jarett and his wife are doing well!
Thank you for the kind comment! I am doing well. I have taken a step back from photography. Part of it was having children and having to find something that wouldnt keep me away from home as much as photography did. I worked in marketing for a while before going into ministry full time. I am now the Creative Arts Director for Beach Church in Myrtle Beach, SC where I still get to use some of my video and photo skills from time to time. Seriously, thank you for this comment. I'm glad my videos brought you joy in some way and gave you an interest in photography! Keep telling your stories! Also, you never know, I might actually make some content this year lol God bless you!
@@JarrettHucksPhoto OH My Gosh, I did not expect a reply. I'm very happy to see that your doing well. Also glad to hear that your working with a church. Hope your life keeps in a good direction!
I have three Retinas - Ia, IIa, IIc. The focusing knob on all three is somewhat stiff, even after CLA. The advantage is you can preset focus and not worry about it drifting.
As a horse over for over 40 years, I don't think there was any "fun" watching that. Very very lucky that girl wasn't badly injured. the horse clearly was not prepared for the big white dress thrown over its hindquarters. Totally natural reaction. I can't understand who thought this was a go.
She Was Hoisted On The Wrong Side To Start With; That's What Comes From Indulging These Phantasms As Some Sort Of Half-Arsed Romantic Display!! The Horse Is Clearly Pissed From The Start, Being Approached From An Unfamiliar Direction, And Consumed By An Enormous White Monster!! Just Get Bloody Married, For Gods Sake, And Leave The Fantasy Out Of It; You're Soon Going To Find Out What Real Life Is About, So You'd Better Start Now!!!
It would be wise for a bride in a big dress, with no horse experience, to stand by the horse rather than ridr it. I'd be wary of riding my own horses in that poofy monstrous get up. Too bad it happened tho. The horses handlers were incompetant.
Error 1, mounting from the wrong side. 99% of horses go a lifetime without anyone trying to mount on their right /off side. Maybe if mounted from the left, the horse would have had a much different reaction...
Green horse+ Green person = black and blue. No horse person in their right mind would attempt that without hours of preconditioning. Bride was the unlucky experiment.
The horses owner did a big diservice to her horse. She was blocking the horse field of vision while the bride was mounting. He couldn't see what the heck was going on! She mounted from the Right which some horses aren't as comfortable with and SUDDENLY there is a huge mass of white fabric appearing from the left and in his mind, attacking him from behind! The owner obviously came upon this scene and wanted to offer her horse but so many mistakes were made. Its a shame really.
Just glad and happy to see the bride get up. Often that doesn't happen as we await Life-Flight or the ambulance. Concur, the horse's "handler" is at fault.
It's not the horses fault for freaking out when the brides dress was put on him, also some one should have been holding the horses head while she got on .
It’s not the horse at fault. Clearly you can see the horse is already uncomfortable before the bride mounts the horse. They should have never put the bride in danger!! Thank God she didn’t get hurt. I own a horse and I know what he’s comfortable with and not.
She got on on the wrong side and the horse put up with it and took her for what he thought she wanted, a ride. Then she dropped the reigns and a man grabbed one, signaling a trotter to stop and turn. These people are ridiculous. Poor horse.
You could tell before she even got on that it was going to go south. That little bit of head tossing is the horse saying they are uncomfortable with whatever is going on.
Did any of the brainiacs setting that up get the horse used to the commotion or the big white poofy flying thing jumping on it's back with the wind??? I think not. Do not pass go... Start over.
That poor horse wasn’t what you call in the horse world ‘bomb proof’, it reacted to the bride’s dress. The poor thing was in flight mode, horses are prey animals and react to as such if not been desensitised to stimuli like this dress. The person who was meant to be in charge of the horse didn’t do a very good job. When the bride was getting on they should have a tighter lead rein & been watching the horse (that way you can gauge their reactions & anticipate for things like this). But the person holding (she wasn’t really) the horse was busy with the bride. The person meant to be holding the horse was lucky she wasn’t trampled. The bride was lucky it was sand she landed on & not concrete especially with not wearing a riding hat.
Couldn’t help but notice the bride mounted on the wrong side of the horse. Wonder why they didn’t do a test run at the farm/barn using similar material like the bride’s dress to “sack” out the horse so it wouldn’t be afraid of it? (Sacking out is what we do before saddling a young horse, even before we place the saddle pad/blanket. Usually it’s a burlap sack & with the horse standing tied, you gently ‘slap’ the horse with it all over his/her body until they stop flinching). The bride could have been seriously injured & now that poor horse is traumatized...plus doing this at the beach with the ocean waves crashing & the wind whipping the bride’s dress around? Recipe for disaster!
You don't get on a horse that side. Plus I agree with Raleigh Link below that the draping thing is like a tarp. She was probably scared before she got on so another thing to add to the horse's list. She is lucky she wasn't dragged!! The handlers were negligent! If that was just a friend's horse that is one thing but someone running a business that is ridiculous.
