Looking at your various courses and bundles. What course do you recommend for a relatively new paddler (<1yr) with poor technique? I do a mixture of small surf, and training for 5-10km races. I'm super slow, and seem to only paddle with my arms (can't seem to activate trunk rotation and leg drive), and consequently get fatigued quite quickly. In a tippy old Hayden. Thanks!
What's your advice for the novice who always seems to be turned sideways once the wave picks them up? I've tried steering with both feet and paddle, tried keeping rudder straight and just using paddle to try stay straight, and also paddling harder to stay in front, but always seem to get turned on those bigger waves
IT's a delicate balance (excuse the pun) between all three strategies you've mentioned. Mostly is being used to the feeling of rising the swell and using the rudder at the same time. You need to take a few extra strokes as the speed of the ski picks up with the swell. That way you keep your rudder engaged.
Cool video about rowing techniques. What do you think about this - I invented an oar with self-rotating blades? It would be interesting to know me as a professional! thank you) Turn on English subtitles for translation. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-w1W1-D8tNM0.html
I recently got a V10 to paddle with my dad. Love paddling and have gone into some tiny waves and topple in. So much fun and I can’t wait to put the time into it.
Gunther the last month I have been using the surf ski for stamina and to have fun in the waves. My dad and I have around a 10km paddle route around the close Seychelles islands. Other than that I have joined a paddle club and am preparing for the upcoming K1 kayak race events. I love being able to spend the afternoon on the water through different sports or hobbies. Have a great week!
this seems like a bad idea. Because most navy vessels don't usually allow other vessels within a certain radius without a warning but since youy are kyaking you dont have any radio communication but oh well seems like a sick way to be kayaking
always aspirational to watch the icons of the sport like DM and Oscar make it look so easy, well done for all you have achieved but always humble having fun and happy to share some of your skills>>
