I think these animals are so cute. I think of having me a hat and a jacket made from the skins. But I’d love to have a family of them around my place to watch and feed them. To be able to watch them grow up near by and grow. Then select which fur I’d like to harvest. To keep population down to a minimum but still be able to do both of living with them and then benefiting from them.
Yup eat it that’ll take the bark right out of them haven peafowl myself they only make noise when they here loud noises if the neighbors on a dirt bike the alarm goes off (peacock) if a car drives by with out an exhaust the alarm goes off ( peacock) if it’s the Fourth of July the birds gonna scream all night
This is a great recipe. My husband and I used to make deer sausage using the casings. We used salt Peter for curing. He smoked it in the smokehouse he had built. It was wonderful and this brings back wonderful memories of making sausage and sneaking heart and other organs in when the kids weren’t looking. We all loved it. I would like to make this as I still have the grinder and stuffing part. I don’t have a cool spot to put it in. I’ll try and figure it out. Thank you so much for this great recipe. It was so fun to see you making it.
Thanks Carol, im glad you liked it and brings back wonderful memories. I would love to see some photos if you do get to try it -its so satisfying to do :)@@Carol-kj5eh
I just lost my 6 hens and 2 roosters to a black bear last night. It ripped the coop apart and somehow got all of them. We've got laws protecting them here but we should be able to put them down when they kill our livestock.
Im sorry to to hear that, its so frustrating to lose your whole flock in one go. I know first hand :( but for me it was a fox and I was able to deal with it when it came back the next night. Very satisfying.
