The "I think there's been an accident... And you're all invited!" improvisation segment never fails to bring a smile to my face. Gerard's darkly comical and morose almost English sarcasm is one of the coolest and most endearing parts of his personality, contrasted by his immense warmth, fierce artistic intelligence, stage intensity and big heart. His command of the stage is exceptionally profound and truly admirable, given that he is a very shy and introverted person in his daily life. He sincerely inspires me to be more self-confident and kinder to those around me. His brilliance and extraordinary showmaship is immensely inspiring!
The fact that the Venganza and The Black Parade is Dead! concerts took place on the same day never fails to impress me. The Way Brothers, Ray Toro, Frank Iero and Bob are such professional musicians and their exhaustion motivated them to perform even better in The Black Parade is Dead! Both concerts are legendary. From the Gothic romanticism and beauty of grief to the almost spiritual and existentialist costume and set design changes that were made to distinguish one era from the other, each respective nuance was sublime. I also read that the Black Parade Is Dead! concert started around the early evening and ended at exactly almost midnight in between both shows and the meet and greets.
When I was a young adolescent, I would always watch the Venganza and The Black Parade is Dead! concerts through this magnificent channel and they were what allowed me to survive such an exceptionally dark and disheartening period of my life. As I am now an adult, I would like to personally thank antonio.gor for having provided us with a gold mine of MCR content whenever I did not have access to the sufficient financial resources to travel and attend their shows and even after they broke up, these concerts kept me alive, sane and motivated. I am just so glad that they will continue to do the same for generations of fans to come. <3
I've listened to the Black Parade is dead probably 100+ times in the past 10+ years and never knew there was a Three Cheers encore set after it.. he also looks like a young Nick Cave here
gerards screams are so recognizable. like if i heard a recording of one of his screams during a concert without context, like just the scream, id go "yeah thats gerard"
