Disclaimer:this was a video and if you didnt know csx 0721 was uploading the whole railanning video and before the q441 happened csx q652 and local o709 was the whole time in csx 0721 video
So glad you caught it! Hope you’re doing well-we miss both of you!! Let us know if there’s any chance of you working on Oasis next March-we’ve already booked for 2024!
Always wondered if this line was still active because the tracks are not terribly well maintained. Pity that the tracks between Lowe's and Striker Road in Avon Park were torn up.
652 was replaced with 442 a few years ago. Same origination and destination (Tampa to Waycross), but 442 now departs Tampa well after 9pm these days. 652 used to depart Tampa mid-morning.
Thanks!! We live in Lakeland, so we drove through the RP Funding Center for testing . All of us are vaccinated with the exception of our 8-year old. He required a PCR test, which we received the results on the next day. Only mask requirements were in the terminal upon embarkation and disembarkation in Lauderdale, and in the kids club. Enjoy your upcoming vacation-we had a blast!!
Thanks-unfortunately we’re not scoping trains on the diamond as much as we used to. Back then, the S line consisted daylight moves of Q452 (today’s Q442), a pair of shuttles to Central (eliminated) Q237 (autorack units, tacked onto Q441 nowadays), juice train, and the occasional coal. Nowadays, daylight moves only involve Amtrak 3-4 days a week, a couple of locals and if you’re lucky, a coal or ethanol. Ain’t what it used to be...

Yes it’s a little bit of the same thing for me I live in Loxahatchee Fl which is on the east coast and plant city it’s on the gulf coast according to the GPS it takes 3 hours to get to the Robert Willaford Railroad museum from my house so we don’t go to plant city that often but we do go The last time I went was in November 2020
