Alright I hear y’all like me to try the weird stuff. I’ll get back on that. I’ve seen some weird stuff out there lately so I guess it’s time to try it out. 😳
Well we cook the meat, usually pork, season it of course. Then we shred the meat check the seasoning and cook it again. Then we cool it down, usually overnight. Next mix up the masa with salt and manteca a little garlic. Mix that up. Oh yeah we have to prepare the wrappers by makin them about the same size, soaking them and rinsing them. Then spread the masa fill em and fold em the. Cook em. It’s a long long process
That is a mystery to all of us. I usually go during the week and it’s packed. The weekend is worse. There is a parking garage next to the science museum but that’s $20 and I believe you pay for parking inside the museum. I can’t recall that part. There is some street parking and I know garage parking at the hospital across from the rear entrance
It`s interesting,we do not have shops here promoting Halloween as much and when they do, i think it`s at the beginning of october. Thanks so much for sharing.
Well, I’m usually curious about that stuff to see if it is in fact ok. Believe it or not I own my own restaurant and cook up great stuff all day. So to try weird stuff is pretty fun for me.
In SoCal, Juanita's is the best canned Menudo. They also make Pozole. I'd never heard of canned tamales b4 I met my husband. his mom used those XLNT tamales you find in the dairy section of the market.
Canned tamales is all I know. Never had fresh or homemade. So I have no meter to measure. But I don’t like them either. First time on your channel. Have to admit you’re brave.
