Glad i saw Willie in his prime . Hard to watch this . He can barely catch his breath . I just watched a few artists who are in their 80’s and it’s painful to watch . Yes they are legends but they should bow out with grace . I think Willie is now 91 . I remember when i was a kid seeing him open for Merle Haggard . Then again in the 80’s at one of his family picnic shows
He wrote this song about 4-5 years ago, he’s got stuff on the shelf right now that most would be dying to do . Fact is he’s a prolific songwriter who just so happens to be schooled in voice and composition. He’s the real thing no doubt thx MKB 👍💯🙏
Saw JT back in the eighties in St Louis at the Muny. Was there last night at the Bowl! Such a fabulous venue, it is impossible to equate that it’s managed and owned by the city of Los Angeles. If JT would have had one more hour he would have been near full voice. On the other hand, my man is 76 and he could have done an hour of standup interspersed with a few songs (which he kinda did) and it would have been just great. Didn’t know of the Belushi connection, even as this song has been one of my favorite JT tracks (“fortune and fame” being an oft quoted lyric by many). Speaking of age, the “legendary,” as JT stated - Steve Gadd, who is one step from 80 was working the sticks. Same guy who back in 82 was doing the same for Simon and Garfunkel in Central Park! One of the last remaining members of the Wrecking Crew. The band was in fact comprised of All-Stars, most from right here in LA. Missed Arnold Mcculler, but it was comforting to learn that his absence was due to retirement, not acrimony. Paid good money to hear Fire & Rain, and would gladly do it again.
Fueron, son y serán magníficos siempre tanto Chris como Willie. Unas voces portentosas y personas con un corazón inigualable. ¿Sería imposible que se les hiciera un homenaje a ambos? 👏👏👏👏❤️❤️
Dr. Robert Proctor said, just don't react, and that's how I survived Wendy Rowlands and Damien Bond and Kerin Crowe, etc. to do with the Hitler style torture in Buenos Aires airport a December, 2002. (Something like that.) I love Willie Nelson too, still desperately in need of top world legal help.
