Everything you need to know about living in or moving to Airdrie, Alberta, Canada! Brad Walker is a local Realtor who would love to help you with any of your real estate needs!
I was born in Alberta 64 years ago and I wouldn't move here because: -The Provincial Government is Anti-Canadian and full of Right Wing Extremist Conspiracy Theorists. -The Provincial Government has attacked the reputations of Teachers, Doctors and Nurses. This has created labour shortages in these professions. Finding a Family Doctor is extremely difficult. Emergency rooms are over run. School Classrooms are overcrowded, schools are understaffed when it comes to special needs children. - Utility Electricity is Very Expensive, the highest rates in Canada -Vehicle Insurance legibility is determined by Insurance Companies. If an Insurance Company determines you are not a good driver, your Vehicle Insurance Coverage can be denied or canceled at any time. -There are "Fees" for many Provincial Services. These fees are expensive, add up quickly and are like a hidden tax. -The Provincial Government does not use the words; "Climate Change, or Global Warming". Even when the Provinces Forests burn every summer. -Renting or Leasing a place to live is more expensive than purchasing a home. Many renters are paying more than 40% of their income on rent. -If you don't have secured employment with a well paying job, don't move here. Alberta has the highest unemployment rate in the Country. The cost of living is very high. Moving with a Family with Kids is not recommended. -The Political Environment is Toxic. "Make Alberta Great Again" is a thing here. Fill in the Blanks.

Hi Brad, I left you a message on your last video, but you didn't get back to me. This house has been listed for two weeks now. I had a video tour. Two things I didn't like about this house are the carpeted basement living room and the backyard, and it also has a cracked window.
@@sulemanrashida8451appreciate the feedback! We did note on the listing that the window has already been paid for and will be fixed in a couple weeks 😁
Good day, Brad. I have been watching your videos for a while now. I have been trying to purchase a house in Airdrie for the last two months now, but it's been so hard to find my dream house. I have a realtor working hard to get me what I want, but he hasn't been able to.
I think the market will stay high for a few months then go back down a little. My Sister was going to get some one look at her place to see how much it will cost in August
Is it true that Alberta towns aren't able to keep up with the influx and can't develop the infrastructure?? Road congestion, lack of medical services, electrical grid, water service, erc ??
It’s fairly true to most places in Alberta right now yes. Lots of population growth in a short amount of time means that it will take some time for infrastructure to catch up. Definitely more road construction and less doctors per capita than we’re used to. Only 1 scare with the electrical but nothing came of it, and the current water situation is due to a main water feed break in Calgary. Once that’s fixed we should be okay again

This video is primarily about comparing Cochrane & Airdrie. We have another video on the channel that goes through the top 4 towns around Calgary, and that one includes Chestermere!
Sorry she paid 103,000 sold it for 137,000, took the money and out it on the down payment for a house along Windermere road Sw My mistake she bought it back in 2002 and she bought the townhouse in Calgary behind coop they are brown townhouses along 39 avenue sw
I am watching you from right here in Airdrie my internet cost is 20 dollars a month though Shaw. I was renting a house that was 4 bedroom it was 1600 dollars a month with 3 other roommates in the house. the landlord owned the hole blocked down
Hi Brad, we appreciate your updates. A few months back you covered the condo market and hi-lited the new condo developement going up in Coopers by Vesta. There are still several units there for pre-construction sale. Any general comments about this higher end condo development now that building is underway? Are they maybe a bit over priced? Thanks much.
Yeah the monarch condos are in their own category that’s for sure! We do have the Chateux building in the SE that also sells in the $400’s, (though that one is age 40+) so there is a market for the luxury style condos here in Airdrie. But they definitely won’t appeal to the masses! I’m curious to see how they sell, and I am looking forward to seeing the finished product.
The builders have been building a lot of the freehold townhomes lately, and if that’s the case here then there’s a very good chance they’ll be over $500,000 unfortunately. If they are condo’d then they’d be less.
