The goal of this channel is to give you the knowledge and tools you need to take on repairing your own vehicles along with having some fun in the process! I focus on getting the information to you in a way that someone with little experience could understand and in no way puts you in harms way.
Just did this, didn't need to take any radiators or fans off, just kept everything on. Used the supplied spark plug removal tool and the 14mm wrench, that was it. Got it done in less than 25 minutes doing it my first time :D
The torque settings from yamaha are way too high. Several have ended up with stripped threads and have had to cut the nut off the axle. There is no reason to go above 75 ft/lb
Dear motorcycle friend, Thank you very much for the clear explanation of the voltage regulator issue. My headlight bulb keeps blowing at high RPMs. I will clean the contacts and add an additional regulator from a smaller motorcycle in front of the bulb. This will surely help-thanks to you. Thank you, and I wish you many happy miles. Tom
Hey man, really good video. I just bought one for 1100 dollars and it needs some work so I will probably be watching lots of your videos. 4th bike for me just so you know and I do work on them with a little help here and there from a friend who knows more than me. I don't usually do this but I wanted to say thank you for the video. I wanted to ask, what year is yours you are working on? Mine is a 2004. How much did they change from generation to generation. I know with lots of bikes they make them the same for like 20 years but the FZ6 seems to get an update like every 2 or 3 years. Any way thanks brother.
Thank you very much, I’ll check that. Please show details as where to find the clutch cable and throttle cable on the engine even though it seems obvious as everything is all new to me, thank you.
Hi, how many km/miles does the fz6 usually last through its lifetime when properlly servised? Does the valve train last lifetime or what interval is recommended to replace it? THX!
I PICKED IT UP AND YOUR VIDEOS SUPPORTED ME! I watched them almost all but still didnt dive into fixing stuff my self. No much time to do that after work because i want to drive! :D
If running a catless downpipe on a stock ecu, you can add an o2 sensor spacer that has a mini cat and it will keep the sensors happy and never get a CEL. They go for $10-30
I need help with my Fz6 whenever I start it, it revs up to 8k rpm without touching throttle and stays at 8 k , throttle snaps back like it should I can’t find the problem
Wow my boi you just summarized a month or two worth of research. And the diy engine blasting is the cherry on top. What kind of device do you use for diagnostics? I’m thinking about buying the LAUNCH X431 Diagun V
Thanks man! Glad you liked the video! 👍 I use a really simple and cheap innova scanmer. The launch x431 looks good to me, I’ve also heard good things about topdon and foxwell scanners.
I bought a light blue S2 from 2010 last year because of all your videos. It's a great as you say, for someone that likes to make small trip rides, likes a sport look but with a neutral riding position. It can ride soft at low RPMs, but pulls great at higher RPMs. And you can find them used at great prices.
