Your lectures are great. You really break things down to more simplistic terms with great examples. After watching a lecture, I always feel like I learnt and digested something new.

Brilliant. Not happy I wasted hours reading supposedly key texts and articles before finding this but happy I found it!

This lecture is amazing, however it doesn’t contain subtitles in other languages, which makes it difficult to understand at some points for non English speakers

The geons remind me, very literally, of the composite shapes you are taught to "see" as an artist. When you are quickly sketching out figures, scenes, or moving objects, you're advised to capture the essential parts. All of the base shapes we were taught can be found on list of geons.

Your sound quality is not so good! Quite disturbing when I hear your every word very carefully! It also whispers! Please make sure that your sound quality will be cleared!

Watching this from Sweden! I'm studying behavioral science and am close to my bachelor's degrees so I've had lectures in cognitive psychology but repetition doesn't hurt! It's easier learning things a second time so I'm watching these lectures in my free time

Demonstration 1 looks like the one I do to explain to people how I see in general. I have Amblyopia and thus, I cannot properly estimate depth in my environment (this is why I often fail to catch an object thrown at me). However, my demonstration is sensible different as I don't want others the sense the depth of their environment with another sense, but I want them to rely exclusively on their eyes. So, I hold a pencil in a vertical position in the frontal environment of someone. Then, I ask them to try to reach with the top of their finger 👇🏻(hand should be as the emoji; vertical with the finger pointing down) the top of the pencil in an assertive (non-hesitant) fashion. Usually, with the two eyes open, this task is easy. Then, I ask them to put one hand on one eye and we redo the demonstration. As a result: (a) they are more hesitant in their gesture while they try to put the top of their finger on the top of the pencil, (b) they miss them at least once the target and reattempt right away, and (c) they tend to incline their finger to have more surface available of their finger to touch the pencil (like a mix of these two emojis👉🏻🫳).

I am going to watch the entire set of this course, but I want to thank you for publishing your lecture. I am in BA major psyc and taking my BA online, which involves reading my textbook, writing quizzes, and paper assignments to finish the course by a final test. Thanks to your lecture, I understand concepts' subtilities that I did not get throughout my textbook reading. Thank you so much!
