Quite simply, I love flying drones, I love aerial photography and I love my home county of Pembrokeshire! This channel was created to combine those elements and share the stunning imagery that can be obtained using a drone.
I spend far too much time fishing for Sea Bass around the coast there. But there again….maybe not enough time. I absolutely love the whole area. Nice video, Diolch yn fawr.
Thank you! Re the word 'haunted' - more of a reference to the haunting beauty of the place, and the wreck, but I acknowledge that it's not the best choice of words to use, for the reason you have given. Thank you for your feedback 👍🏻
@@MsDeepblue2 What kayak do you own, if you don't mind me asking? I've been dabbling on and off with kayaking for a while but haven't taken the plunge to buy one yet; I would love to own one!
@@SkySeaPembrokeshire I've got a Fatyak Kaafu. I wanted a sit on top style, not too heavy. It's very stable - I've used it as a platform for diving/swimming from too. There's a few vids on my channel showing it if you want to take a look.
Thank you! I've been trying to get some footage out sooner but just haven't been able to get to the locations that I had planned to visit for various reasons! Hopefully some wreck sites coming soon... 👌😎
Beautiful video. We just returned from a multi-day hike on the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and came across the airfield. Good time to pause and reflect upon the many sacrifices of those who have gone before us.
Thank you! I hope you had reasonable weather for your hike, though that walk along the coastal path is spectacular, regardless of the weather! There are a number of similar historical sites around Pembrokeshire, if you ever find yourself back over this way - by all means get in touch if you would like any suggestions 👍🏻
@@SkySeaPembrokeshire Music is one of the most difficult things to nail down. I can listen to 20 to 50 tracks before throwing in the towel and choosing the best "fit".
I love living right on the coast. I can't imagine living in a city, and when you see footage like this, it just makes me smile. Can't see blocks of flats doing that somehow😁😁
*4:33** it's here! I was beginning to wonder if a train was to be featured. Awesome views of the restored narrow-gauge train. Perhaps you can do a video as a passenger as well. Thanks for sharing 👍*
Thanks David 👍🏻 I was trying to build it up, a bit of suspense! Maybe a bit too much suspense... 😄Thanks for the suggestion, I'll certainly be doing some more videos featuring this train soon.
I'm not sure actually, I've never been much of a fisherman! It does do well in these conditions, but it takes some handling, it's not the easiest of things to use in the sea... 😄
I’ve been to strumble head a fair bit recently. I did not realise there is a shipwreck nearby. I love watching your videos, it’s always great to see my favourite Pembrokeshire locations from a Birds Eye view 😄
A stunning location, and beautifully captured, well done! The underwater drone sounds interesting. If you manage to get any footage from that, please share. I have visited the area several times, but long before drones were a thing, so thanks again for sharing this 👏
My pleasure, glad you enjoyed it! I'll certainly share the footage as and when I get it - easier said than done as the Pembrokeshire weather isn't always on my side. Getting to the locations can also be tricky, the cliffs make some spots that I think would be perfect to launch from (from a content perspective) impossible to reach other than by boat! Anyway, got some ideas coming up, I'll see what I can do 👍🏻
Thanks Nick! It's quite remarkable how many old airfields are in this area, so much history. I think Talbenny and Dale are the most interesting though. 👍🏻
Thank you! I find it fascinating having a nose around underwater. I'm still trying to add some more 'finesse' to the drone movements however it's not easy, totally different to the airborne versions! 😂
Thank you! I hope to get some more footage soon around the nearby coastline; there are wrecks out there so I may be lucky and be able to capture some footage of them. Will give it a go! Thanks for watching 👍🏻
Thank you Nick, very kind! 😁Hopefully will get the GoPro out too next time, had a technical hitch with the mount on this dive so didn't get the footage I wanted. Next time! 👌
No worries. I would suggest that firstly you need to establish whether the area you're going to fly in (in this case the harbour) comes under any restrictions for operating a drone. Secondly, as long as you stay far enough away from whatever it is you're filming (in this case the ferry) and you are outside of the distances specified in the CAA rules, you should be fine. A bit of common sense helps too, don't do anything that could annoy or harm anyone.@@OliverMccarthy-gs6qh
Love this! Superb video, very peaceful and I loved that clip from the depths looking up. What a machine! Nice ending too, showing what we can't afford 😂👏
I’ve spent a lot of time in the rosebush area over the years and I’ve often wondered what lies beneath the surface of that pool. What a brilliant video 😊👍
Thanks! I find Rosebush quarry an interesting place, and I am led to believe that there's a flooded entrance to the mine somewhere - whether it's deep enough to send the drone in or not is questionable. I may try and find it at some point! There is another pool nearby this one but it's a lot smaller. I've always been fascinated what lies under the surface, be it a lake, pool or in the sea - more videos to follow! 👍🏻
Fantastic video. Wow. The footage is incredible. Can you imagine if DJI came up with a sky and deep dive drone. 😮😅I think I want one of those toys. I presume the line is attached to the drone in case of an emergency.😮 Brilliant. Where do I get one of those machines 🤔 😊❤ 2 and a half grand on Amazon. 😮oh my lord. Really. 😮
Thank you! I'm still learning how to use it but I'm getting the hang of it 👍🏻You would love it, they are so good! Yep the tether is attached to the drone, and is actually the connection between the drone and the controller, so no issues with signal. It can also be used to recover it if it gets stuck! They are a lot of money, but I found this one second hand. They do come up occasionally, I can highly recommend getting one! 🤩
