@@matttestani8105 Of course it does, because the original Broadway casts are put on by the creators of the show, so their vision and direction for the characters come to life in that production. Look up Lee Wilkof, the original Seymour, who was indeed a middle aged balding man
Lol that’s Josh Lamon. He was probably 30 in the show it makes complete sense. He was also BY FAR the best Seymour that auditioned and if you look him up he’s had quite the career since. I think we made a fantastic choice.
Ironically, the puppeteer is Bill Remington, who also puppeteered Audrey II in the Broadway revival. Not just that, but the puppet is made by Monkey Boys Productions. The puppet company founded by some of the people who helped worked on the Broadway puppets. It’s also designed after it as well.
seymour should be looking away from the audience when he sings "i don't know" line. it makes it look like he is in conflict and does not want to face the judgement of others.
I saw an English Production when my family lived in Japan. The actor they had for Seymore still had a rather similar dorky resemblance to Rick Moranis.
