April, this is Leslie. I was married to Larry Bingham when I met you. We stayed w/you & your family while we were in Provo. We left there about the 8 th of April 1977 to go back to Lemon Grove, CA. I remember Mark when he served my Imperial Beach Ward. He came back w/your dad. They were on vacation. He's the reason we were in your home. Well, plus the fact we were waiting to go to the Salt Lake City Temple. We enjoyed being a/all of you. You showed us what a Celestial Family was supposed to be. Thanks for your friendship, hospitality & love. This is an amazing tribute to Marilyn. I met her in April 1977 when Larry, I & our 3 kids : Valerie Nicole, Marsi Elaine & Ronald Paul, were in the Muhlestein's home waiting to go to the Salt Lake City Temple on April 6, 1977, to be
Visiting my mom in Phoenix today, who's 94 years old. Just chatting and asked her if she had any boyfriends before she got married. She said she she went on a few dates with a Herrick Muhlestein. She said this was around 1942 in Provo, when she worked at the rationing board. She was 18 and said Herrick was a few years older. She said they went to "a dance or something at BYU". They went on three or four dates and nothing came of it, but he was a perfect gentleman. With such an unusual name he was easy to find on Google. I said, he was 26 years old when you went out. She said, if I knew he was 8 years older I might not have gone out with him, but he was a perfect gentleman. My sister said, "Is this the one you said was asking you out because you suspected he wanted more sugar from the rationing board?" My mom said, "I don't remember saying anything like that, but I do know he was a perfect gentleman". How is that for a good old-time story??? :) My mom's maiden name was Arlene Hudson and born in 1924. Respectfully submitted by Brent Peterson of Fremont, CA. :)
