@@Bryan-jd7os None were made as a Military CUCV AFAIK. I’ve seen some done privately where someone took the military components from a CUCV and put them on a civilian suburban.
I was s in a comm unit unit that had 1028's The only really drawback was with an S-250 shelter on it and towing a trailer that had p[air of MEP-3's and an external fuel tank they took forever to get up to speed, if only that had had that Banks turbo

Hey Ricky... It was a pleasure to run into another CUCV owner on the street... I'm getting my M1009 put together now. When finished I will post a video of it.
This is a M1028A1,the M1028A1 had the NP-208 Transfer Case,the M1028 had the NP-205 Transfer Case.Only the M1028,M1028A2,and M1031 had the NP-205,all the other CUCV's had the NP-208.I had a 1985 M1028A1,mine had over 55,000 Miles on it's N/A 6.2L,it had a 4 Inch Procomp Lift and 37×12.50's,only thing that was missing was a Banks Turbocharger.I also had a M1009 and M1010.
@Evets Zenk Thank you for the Offer. I'm currently keeping the stock wheels on mine. I just finished Painting Mine today and just to let you know, yours is on the top of my favorite CUCV's for Ideas and Inspiration. If you look up BABVDC on Instagram, you can see my progress
Obviously yours was not maintained properly. They can go hundreds of thousands of miles if you take care of them. And yes, I do know shit about them. I own one.
Beautiful truck! Ours look nearly alike. I have a converted m1031. It has the NP205 case. My 24-bolt HMMWV wheels have not been recentered. I swapped out my front hubs for DRW hubs and with with hub/wheel centric machined steel 2" spacers on the rear. You are way ahead of me with your interior. I bet you get tired of folks asking to buy it. I get asked everyday...
