I have two in 4 inch pots on my microwave. I had one that was growing so nicely. One day it just started dieing. I couldn't save it. It didn't like being moved.
Hey Michael 👋 I have a very old burle marx. And lately its begun to have no leaves in the center, but i can see its stems. Im worried that Im not doing something about this. Does it need to be divided? Or new soil? Its in a 10" clay pot and i water it every three daya unless its still wet. But in my dry house it could be more often. Have you come across this problem? What are your thoughts?
Thank you for the detailed video ! I recently got a tiny plant in a small nursery pot. When I move the pot, the plant seems wobbly (top-heavy). Also, I see that there is 1 root coming out of the drainage hole. And I see a tiny root (hairlike above the soil as well, at the base of the plant) Does it mean I need to repot it? And how do we find out if the plant requires repotting. Thank you again !
I am preparing to move out of my parents home, and into an apartment that comes with a recent job opportunity I have taken. I found your channel while researching indoor plants and I am so glad I did! Your videos are so helpful and informative, especially to someone like me who doesn't know that much about plants but wants to learn more. I am sad to see that you haven't posted in a while. I hope you are well, and that you continue to post your helpful and positive content. You seem like a bright person who has so much knowledge to share. Bless you and take care. Hopefully we all will see you again soon.
Really enjoyed your video.I never heard of the whale fin until I was in Home Depot a couple of days ago, and saw them on display for $25.00. I thought it was a bit of money, until we googled it, and found that this price was really great. They had about 30 of them and I found the one whale fin that had a fairly good sized pup with the parent plant. I grabbed it, and love it.
I have been getting into plants in the past couple of years, I had one question that wasn’t answered in the video. My question is: is it wise to repot them in a bigger pot for growth?
Great video! My plant has been by the window, and l have it for over a year, but it doesn't seem to have grown much. Do you think it needs a larger pot? tks
Awesome looking whale fin. I rescued mine from a home Depot near me. It was in a pot with no drainage sitting in standing water. I noticed that it had a few holes in the leaf. Because it was on my plant wishlist I got it anyway. Year and half later it sprouted a new leaf. A month ago I noticed another leaf poking out. After giving it a nice watering and putting it on a high shelf facing a window and grow light. Today I pulled it down to stir the soil I noticed two more pups coming out. This thing is going to be freaking huge
Dude i been wanting a zeylanica and or jaboa for my crested gecko vivarium. I'm in los Angeles how do i go about searching for places that sell them? I kinda wanna avoid big name stores like home Depot and the like. Due to diseases or pests. Dont want to introduce anything into my vivarium.
