Hey guys gameboy3800 here once again! I've been on the platform since 2009 and would really appreciate if you stuck around to view some of the content! I've been making BeamNG Monster Truck mod videos since 2016, but have mixed in computer reviews and building, as well as many other types of games throughout the channel's lifetime!
note: if you've been installing your mods to the improper place like in your steam/common/beamng/content/vehicles folder, clearing cache will delete these files. make sure you put your (still zipped) mod files into the proper mods folder in either your documents section, appdata section or if you've set a custom location. you can always find out where mods are stored by hitting the manage user folder button on the little menu before you hit launch game, then hitting open in explorer. you can make a shortcut or pinned tab to this location; always install all mods (levels and vehicles and ui apps) to this one mods folder.
@@gameboy3800 I saw and I have a mod folder, I don’t put my vehicles in the content/vehicle folder because I know they aren’t supposed to be there there’s a file in there that even tells you not to place mods there
all other main mod work has been halted in favor of actually getting resize done. i'm still doing my own pack updates and bev pack updates because resize will take 376 years to be done.
www.beam-monsters.com/files/file/1165-gameboy3800s-specialized-addons-pack/ and www.beam-monsters.com/files/file/586-gameboy3800s-crd-addon-packs-engines-loading-screens-more/
So the RII will automatically shut the truck off in certain situations? If you can get it to work like you want that could be a game changer for more realistic series people like to do
@@fractology23 i have a plug someplace its just been misplaced cuz i've been building my collection back up after having to part with a large part when i moved last year.
@@gameboy3800 If you happen to find it I would be super grateful if you can tell me which pin is hot and whis is ground. There appear to be two more wires - not sure if there is a remote-type-sensing signal in one or just a secondary voltage. Thanks in advancde for your help…
So the shock add on, i some how did it on a PEI chassis some how. But now i dont see it on any CRD or CRD3 chassis? So what did i do wrong there and how do i fix it.
@gameboy3800 I mean, I downloaded bev pack and did it on the PEI toxic lol. I can send you photos for proof if you want. Has the short and long percentage options and the new shock section in the tuning menu just like you showcased in the video.
@@fourwheelerjock bev pack is literally just normal feld inhouse shocks on the special chassis with some slight tuning adjustments. pei probably has nitrogen bypass options like how the base game trophy trucks have. this video showcases me just experimenting with shock beam values, and these arent going to be out for awhile.
@gameboy3800 OK, Well. Just saying the shock settings you're messing with at 2:10, under the "shocks" settings I have that with the compression and decompression setting from 0 to 100% on the PEI Toxic. So you're saying that is normal? Bc I don't have that setting on any other truck in the game even if I change shocks under parts
@@fourwheelerjock yes. Thats normal for pei. The fact i named the section in the tuning menu in this video the same shock compression and decompression is purely a coincidence. They affect totally different things ingame.
As someone who still uses this laptop in 2024, the overheating issue is far and away the worst thing about it and is something that still plagues me. The thermal paste must be replaced often as it will quickly degrade back into a glorified space heater unless you use the highest end pastes. This on top of the atrociously designed hinges that support themselves via a piece of hard metal that's directly connected to the paper-thin plastic shell, and it is a horrible experience that I am now looking to free myself from via finding an old thinkpad instead. The hinge issue can be worked around with duct tape and metal clips at least. The overheating never ends. The only saving grace of this laptop is that its performance is still great for today's standards, and can support modern OSs and software no problem.
I had a clevo pico 98 notebook pc, it was a black colour, had an amd k6 and windows 98se, the screen hinges ripped out the main body through old age and unfortunately was beyond repair. There's only one picture i have found on the internet that proves it's existence. Other than that there's zero info.
theres a lot of odd whitebox brands from the 90s and early 2000s that only popped up for like 10 minutes and never again, kinda like the fosa unit in this video.
its power bricks appear fairly regularly on ebay however a lot are missing the actual cord itself. you can use any small hp barrel plug to good effect tho since its not a high power unit.
its long gone sadge. but the issue ended up just being the coincell battery was dead. with hdd cable it fired right up, it had a p4 3.4ghz and geforce go 5700. speakers were pretty sick too.
@@gameboy3800 I just picked up one myself. I was having the exact same issue as you. It would start up but not display anything. Replacing the cmos battery solved that issue for me as well. Now I'm trying to hunt down these ancient drivers. I managed to get the gpu driver. ATI Radeon 9600/9700. Now I'm trying to find the other 5 drivers I'm missing. Would you happen to remember the name of the ethernet driver needed?
I'm psyched that I won time trials. I was anticipating this event coming out for a while. Great job and thanks to everybody this was super fun to record and compete in. I didn't really expect to place high in best trick but I thought it was cool enough to submit. Hail Marky Jester.
