i have been looking for like 3 days straight for an answer just how I can power this thing with its full potential. i just needed the show of proof. here's a like. only im going to get a Anker wall power bank. 2 in 1 use.
Yes it has a in which my camera would go to and a hdmi out which I’m hoping the device would work from. Offer monitoring would be a great look for my clients!
@@JosephRossPhotography a quick way to test is just get another HDMI cable connect your camera to the ninja and then connect the ninja via another HDMI cable to your smart TV or HDMI monitor and if that works the wireless should work as well
Great Day yes indeed, I for sure adjust for the camera. What's working for me is to set +3 on the receiver and +6 on the transmitter and I adjust on the r5 the rest of the way. For whatever reason having the levels at 0 on the dji gets a lot more noise.
@@Coreyreesephotography Hey Corey. I was just wondering how much run time you were getting out of that power bank. Im trying to find a solution for this weekend. I was originally planning on using my v mounts but can't get ahold of a proper cable in time. You had a 26,000 size one right? Just need it for 4k 60 stuff so not worried about 8k 60 power. So it has to be a fast charge type? I have a 20,000 but the output isn't the right voltage im assuming. Its not working.
@@massivefilmco hello again so the one I had is 20,000 mh. I've never timed how long but it definitely lasted hours after the in camera battery got low. I maybe able to test by wed if needed.
Great video. I'm using the basic Canon R5, and wanted a similar solution to add power out in the field. I ordered the Elecjet and the 45W Charger. I don't plan on shooting 8K with the R5, so would the USB-C from power bank to USB-C port on R5 work to either charge batteries already in the camera, or power the camera while shooting Pics & Vids in the field? My goal is to not have any downtime when shooting sports, and switching between stills & video. With stills, never a power issue with 2 LP-E6NH batteries in the grip. Can sometimes get two or three games on pair of batteries if just shooting stills. Video & using external monitor is much more of a drain, so looking for solution other than carrying a bunch of LP-E6NH with me everywhere I go. Thank you for putting this video together.
Great Day no problem, so the batteries can be charged when the the camera is in the off position. When the camera is on it can power the camera if battery is in but doesn't charge it while on.
What brick were you trying with the DC coupler? I'm currently running a test recording with the DC coupler and CA-946 AC adapter, which outputs 8.4v at 3.7a for a total of 31w. Recording 8k raw right now, and plan to also test 4k XF-AVC, which Canon's specs show consume the most power on this camera (13.3w). I work for Lensrentals, and we had a customer complain the DC coupler didn't work with his R5 C, and this is why I'm testing it. Customer said it wasn't working for them.
@@Coreyreesephotography bro, all my stuff came in to rig it out. I tried to use the link you provided but the link to the battery was unavailable. I wanted to buy it through your link l, (just in case you get a kickback through Amazon). Either way, thanks bro!!!
@@THSimagery no worries either way is fine as long as you get what you need for sure. They also just released a firmware update today so I updated mine already
Thank you for this video. I got my brand new R5C (and a bunch of LP6's) and if this battery runs for 6-7 hours (at least for Full Hd or 4K) is perfect for long recording sessions (speeches, concerts, ...) and it will be very easy to attach the battery to the tripod. Thank you!!!
im looking for a this + pickup league hockey combo. if you like 2md but missing the multiplayer, you know, team sports feeling, then pickup league hockey will fill the void. i keep coming back, though! . Upset that there's a head to head on ps vr, but pc...?? wow!
Hey Corey! Thanks for this info! 45w is the key! I have a question for you. I just found out that it is not possible to control the R5C with the Canon Camera Control App. I've used a R5 on a crane and I used an iPad to focus and start/stop rec. This fonction is only possible on the photo side of the R5C. For the video side, you need a $999 Canon WFT-R10A Wireless File Transmitter.... Huge bummer... But I suspect it might be because with the addition of a fan, there is less power available for the wifi. I wonder, even if it's not written on the user manual, could this fonction work if the camera is powered by a 45w source? Battery or power supply. Could you verify this? Thanks!
Hello and no prob. So first quick test you will get a message saying the video mode is not supported with the R5c with the utility and it doesn't work with Canon's web cam utility as of now either. I have found possible solution online and will test soon as I get the items here trmw. Will keep you posted.
@@jean-francoismasse7313 Hello so it didn't work. I saw this hack with c70 with wi-fi adaptor but looks like the USB port on the r5/R5c can't give power so it didn't work.
Thank you for this! One of the best portable power options that I've seen and picked up myself is the FXLION Nano ONE V Mount. If you have a SmallRig cage and a mini vmount adapter (like the Nitze Mini V Mount Battery Plate), you can easily mount it to the top or side of the cage and run and gun with it. I've heard (haven't recorded on it long enough myself to say) the FXLION Nano will give 2.5 hours of record time in 4K / 8K 60fps which is MUCH better than the Canon LP-E6N batteries that only provide 40 minutes of battery life shooting 60fps.
