Yay! First again. Another cracking video. With regard to the odd sculpture, I can totally relate to it. Whenever I pick up a saxophone I look like a right tit. All the best to you both. Safe onward journey.
I’m sat here in Crete (Greece) watching the sun rise and enjoying the sun but cannot help being jealous of your tour. You certainly are seeing some amazing places. Great series. A+
Enjoy the sun and scenery mate, Crete looks beautiful from your pics 🤓👍. Our tour has been inundated with rainy days through France and we are 🤞hoping for better in Belgium
Another very enjoyable video.A little side note on the ST1100,12 years back when I had mine I was on a US web site there was a guy on there who had 440,000 miles on his and still going he showed photo of the millage,he bought it with 10,000 miles on it.The Honda V4 will go for ever...Safe travels to you both..
Yay. First! End of the ride croaking frogs encore are not quite on pair with a singing scout troop Mr Jon, however it didn't detract from another excellent and informative piece of videography from my two favourite two wheeled travellers. xx
Mr Frank, thank you for your kind and good words……..I maintain that Singing frogs in a French chateau moat is almost the same noise as the singing scout troop 🤔😁
My favorite of the family is the NT650GT Hawk / Bros. It’s a pity to lose the shaft drive as such but together with the aluminum frame it makes the bike a little 170 kg squirter without losing too much of its every day practicality. Except the much too small 10 l tank, that is! 😉😁
what s great day out you both had. Thank You for this informative review, coming with a lot objectivity and detail. Currently, I am searching for a good NTV650 OR NTV700 and what you have said is most encouraging and helpful. Safe Riding and thanks again.
New subscriber. Cannot beat a singing scout troop and a hot air balloon fly past at the end of a ride. It should be law. 😁 Another fine video my old friend.
Another lovely video..The ST1000 is a brute of a bike to get upright after it topples....I know, been there done that, forgot to remove disc lock😪..Good to hear you.re ok..In my case all that was bruised was my pride..
🤓👍Thanks, it is a very heavy thing and we needed some help !, We have been riding together for a fair few years and this was a first for us as a couple , both pride and bodies bruised in our case.
Love your adventures, my wife and I are heading to Spain and Portugal from Ireland in July, we would love to live out there permanently though, you are living the dream!
Thank you, we know we are lucky to live the dream 👍. We will end up in Ireland sometime in late July, but a few other destinations along the way before we get there. Living in the South of Spain has been a good experience and riding 11 months of the year has been ……winner, winner, chicken dinner 😀 for us.
We're doing a similar trip in September. How did you manage on the twisties with the weight? I'm much the same age as you and I'm a little worried about the weight of luggage and passenger
Hi, that’s a very good question 👍. We left home 6th May (video No1), and have adjusted the whereabouts of heavier items a few times since then, heavy stuff low on the bike, (Side Panniers), lighter stuff high on the bike (tank bag, top box, rack). We also ditched several items and left them with friends. On the twisty’s , due to the weight, I am much less aggressive and more brake anticipation particularly on the downhills. Bit like how you would ride in bad weather, (if that makes sense ?). Whenever possible for more challenging rides, (see tour 2024 video No 5) , we ride without luggage and at a more normal rate. Saying that we don’t fly along like pretend racer clones. The tank bag was also ditched later as it fouled or encumbered the handlebars at full lock which became a problem in tight slow speed turns. Oh and regular tyre pressure checks are pretty important with all the weight. Hope this helps ?, and you have a wonderful tour 🤓👍
Thanks Bear, only Buddy and I were able to communicate , let’s just say…..we had technical issues trying anything more complicated than that ……..😂. Also though both systems are by Cardo but they are different models. 🤓👍
WOW! I'm running out of adjectives to describe these rides. The scenery is wonderful and these little towns are just wonderful. I have a been Dali fan for most of my life so thanks for the quick visit to the museum.
Thanks Norman, agree the little towns are full of character. Like you I am. Dali fan and the Theatre Museum is almost a pilgrimage and its content both outlandish and weirdly wonderful.
Loved it, great idea getting the bus instead of riding in the rain. What are the dates you intend to be in England? I am away from the 10th until the 26th June.
Glad to see everything is going to plan. How is the bike holding up? Saddle sore been there and it’s so good to get off the bike and rest your backside for a bit.
Top bloke 👍, bike is going pretty good for an old timer. New front tyre the other day and easily passed its two year ITV (MOT) the next day. Saddle sore is part of the day but we are taking days off the bike and chillaxing 🤓👍
