Unfortunately I don't have any videos related to the WISC III. It's supposed to be parallel to the adult version. I was able to find a brief document that might help you concordspedpac.org/WISC_III.html
Hi I have a question on block span test. when the blocks a laid out are the numbers 1-8 visible to the person taking the test.So visible to both parties.
That's a good question. I think that they're typically visible to both, depending on how folks are actually siting. (But its been a while since I've seen that test specifically.) The idea though is that the test taker is definitely able to see them.
@@smasongarrison wow that could be an error because people can use their verbal working memory to cheat. In other words it wouldn’t be testing visual working memory.for example I can remember long digits in my head but when I do the flashing blocks test I can just barely score average.
Hi Loved watching this stuff❤.On Stanford binet matrices I scored 32/36.On vocabulary I scored 34/44. I’m 49 yrs old. Can you tell me my scale score please.
I wish I could! I don't have access to the scoring book anymore. (I gave it to another professor who teaches the current version of the class). But unofficially, I can say that those are good scores! :)
There's an entire collection of books from the National Academy of Science on assessment/testing: nap.nationalacademies.org/topic/354/education/testing-assessments-and-standards But if you're looking for more on these methods of test construction, you can check out "A Handbook of Test Construction:Introduction to Psychometric Design (2015) Paul Kline" or "Psychological Testing (1996) by Anne Anastasi and Susana Urbina"
I took the supervised Mensa Stanford-Binet scale ( Culture Fair III A ) test. I scored 117 ( top 14% ). I would have scored more but I was very tired on the day I took my Mensa exams. But I am certainly not intelligent enough to get into the TNS or the ISPE.
`%=>%` <- function(lhs,rhs){ ss = substitute(rhs) if(length(ss) == 1){ rhs(lhs) } else { cc = call(as.character(ss[[1]]), lhs, ss[[2]]) eval(cc) } } add2 <- function(x) x + 2 add0 <- function(x,y) x + y sub0 <- function(x,y) x - y 2 %=>% add2 %=>% add0(3) %=>% sub0(5) It is pipe operator which works upto functions with 2 parameter
If anyone is curious, the opening music is an electronic transcription (in the manner of Wendy Carlos, if not by Carlos herself) of Bach’s Two-Part Invention no. 14 in B-flat Major. Thanks for uploading this!
Can u tell me what textbook can I read more about how personality effect cognitve, emotion process like in this course? I rarely see any personality psychology textbook mention this subject. I really want to know more. Pls reply me. Thanks a lot
Really enjoying your classes here in youtube. They're helping me with my master's research, because I'm a philosopher and not really into psychology, though my research is changing my route a little bit. Thanks!
Hi ma'am, I heard that psychiatric patients can't be handled and they were behave like wild animals. Later Psychosurgery was introduced to calm that patients. Moniz was awarded Nobel Prize for his work. But most of the doctors were not surgery-trained and some were labelled quacks and some were enthusiastic with photography and publicity leading to death of the patients. With advent of Psychiatric drugs, Psychosurgery declined, but I believe one day Psychosurgery will again boom, may be subspecialty in the field of Functional Neurosurgery. One day it will be essential surgical treatment for drug-resistant Psychiatric patients.
