@@Zippy7901 I used to watch Bob Sloan race as a kid th n id go home and run the guts out of my Mojave lol then when I got a 250r things really came to me..this is like a look back in time for me ... haven't got to race so when I see you giving it all your love out there I got to go into pit crew mode and cheer you on brother 👍💯
@@MikeyMetz-pt1yn I’ve been racing since 1998! Motocross 1st, then started XC in 2008. I’m 49 years old and going to keep going as long as I can! I’ll be in the super senior class next year!
I don't mind letting them by so that I can run my own race. Sometimes letting them go by makes me go faster too. I'll pass them back if I catch up to them again or if we are running about the same speed in the woods.
It’s racing and adrenalines are high. I don’t hold grudges. I was trying to recover from my crash and that off-camber was kicking my ass! I’m pretty good about moving over and not holding up racers behind me.
I think there was 3 4x4's total at this race today and one of us eats dirt, crap.... I'm the big guy on the tan renegade. I love how your machine was setup. It looked fast and by this video I could tell your going way faster than me. I am the slowest guy on the course but I manage to get 3 to 5 laps a race unless I do what you did. Dude, when I saw you come off the bike,,, I'm sitting in my chair going (oh shit - oh shit)!!! My renegade is 800lbs and I think yours is similar. If that bike would have hit you while you were rolling....?☠☠☠ I did something similar at the round #4 race this year. The guys behind me said the renegade was standing on my chest with 4 wheels in the air at one point. It slammed into the bottom of that gully hard. My chest and under my left arm had heavy black bruises, may wrist were jammed, and I saw stars when I blink for the next 3 days....
My machine shouldn't have had any issues with the little hill. I just had my suspension valved and I had them set way to soft. It was causing my rear end to squat too much making my front end way too light, so when I was going up hills my front end kept lifting. Just a bent steering stem and, yes, you don't want these machines to land on you. If you scroll through my videos, I have one where I was on a Renegade and front flipped it.
You jumped right back on it.... I just might have wanted to call it a day after that. At your up coming races if you see a guy that is just to big to be racing and he is on a renegade with the number 885, come on over and say hi... @@Zippy7901
Stage 5 throttle response was super sensitive. Sometimes in tight woods conditions, it was just too much. Stage 3 had a good response in the woods. Depending on the track layout I could switch stages as needed. Stage 5 would be ideal for open woods or short course racing.
Very cool idea I was gonna wire a toggle on the bars from the battery to the fans which would work the same but this is lots cleaner my only concern is might it pop the fuses for the lights with the extra draw from the fan and update would be very cool 😎 thanks for the info
No. This wires the fan to be on all the time which is what you want on these machines. They tend to run hot especially if you don't have a capped radiator mod.
yes. made me a faster rider because i didn't have to mess with the clutch. could concentrate on turning without worring how much clutch to give. And no more stalling and makes uphill climbs a breeze. If you do decide rekluse, get the whole thing. Z-start Pro with rekluse friction plates and clutch basket.
I like them...they are CST Ambush tires...they hook up good and still allow you to slide into corners if needed. These tire also took me to a Championship title. I have not run any other tires to compare other then the stock tires and the stock tires suck.
@DerbyDriver20 I'm going to move up to B 24+ for 2011 and try to win a new title against the younger guys. Besides, I'm turning 36 this year in March and wouldn't be eligible to race in this class anymore. Thanks for watching my video. I am extremely proud of what I accomplished in my first full season of racing quads.
