Putting alloy directly over steel will cause galvanic corrosion. The steel will then rust at an unbelievably accelerated rate. Best practice would be to put a barrier between any two dissimilar metals ie: a thin gasketing material or paint coating or a spray grease coating etc. To both mating surfaces.
We hear you buddy! The arches are painted already and need replacing so not holding out much hope of saving them. Just tidying them up until we get round to replacing. Thanks for the insight though. Now I’m going down a galvanic corrosion worm hole! 👍🏼👍🏼
Galvanic corrosion also known as electrolisis is also a big factor to consider in the construction & building industries. Even down the choice of the fasteners used to hold materials together.
Another fantastic video lads , it's great to see you 2 back together, you definitely bounce off each other, Connor Travolta is looking more calm, he's a good lad him, my Fri to the day is now complete, great content , loving it, keep going lads, much love from me,
Fantastic video guys. Wow what a big one that was. I was talking about the pasties 😂. Your gifts are on their way. 2 may be with you and one is due Monday. Have a lovely weekend all xxx
Thanks lads, the work at the stables is much appreciated. The girls are putting a coat of paint on the inside, once I’ve got the lights etc in and ponies in I’ll send some more pics. Glad you’re not depressed Sam! You are like a yo-yo though, obviously too work focused at times lol. Conor seemed happier in person than he did on camera. Hopefully we haven’t scared you away too much as there are more projects that need doing. Thank you Steven Lee

Sam, fantastic job on the stable. Question, I know nowt about stables, or 'orses for that matter, but notice you metal capped all the horizontal wood parts, but don't 'orses chew the vertical bits as well???? Keep up the good work and enjoy the food.........And keep getting Connor involved, he really is a lovely lad!!!!!
