We just moved into a new home and I ordered woven Roman Shades for our great room and kitchen eat in area and I am in love with with them. In our 2 former homes we had plantation shutters, I am loving the change. Thank you for sharing your shades. It was after watching your video the pushed me to go for it!
Love the shades on your windows, brings a beautiful texture to the room. When you said you were going to paint the pantry door and stove hood I thought immediately Gray, to match the veining in your countertops. But that’s also because I’m partial to grays and whites too. I love all your white dishes and pitchers. Very beautiful styling 🫶🏻

Always fun watching how you arrive at a balanced & yummy mix of textures & colors. The window shades are great! Sometimes the eyes need a rest from abundantly streaming sunlight. I like the white hides, kind of a playful splash of fabric on the floor to give the room a lighter, more impromptu feeling. Hope I don't sound like "ze great decor critic"- I just feel so inspired visually by your arrangements. I need beauty around me, always! ❤😊
The shades look really nice! I like your newly painted island too. I always enjoy watching the things you do with paint. I'm not as brave at that kind of thing. I used to be but not anymore. I enjoyed seeing your beautiful kitchen today with the blue and white. I also keep a lamp in the kitchen...adds so much nice and warm feelings to the kitchen. I love watching you style your rooms! I LOVE the shades! What a difference. I too added them to my summer porch. Mine have cords and are inexpensive. But they defuse the sun peaking thru the trees around 4 pm. I love your blue touches too.
Lovely! Would luv to see a navy island. I have an ironstone soup tureen, a steal at $10! If the lid doesn't fit where I display it, I sit it next to it.

Hi Becca, I'm on the fence when it comes to woven shades. I can see how it ties the room together, but I think I'm the kind that likes things that are unobtrusive and aren't eye-catching. (Please don't misconstrue this comment). I do love your decorating style and your home is beautiful and interesting.
Hi Verna! Thank you so much! I totally get that about how blinds can be a little obtrusive, which is why I took down the ones we used to have and opted for a clean, open look. Buuuuut then, I missed them, lol. I hope you have fun plans in store this weekend!

Oh Becca, you are so funny with your painting and changing of colors. I wish I had your ambition as there are a few things I would like to paint in my home. I really like the white and am glad to see that you changed the island back. I like a white background and bring in color with accessories. Your house is so lovely, I like the way you are constantly changing it. I do like the blinds; they bring in the warmth and really look nice with the summer vibe. Yay! It’s Friday. AKA Becca Day!!! Love the woven shades. I have the faux wooden blinds and they are such a pain to dust. The white cabinets make a kitchen look so clean and pristine and yours looks immaculate. A job well done. Our week long Fourth of July celebration begins tonight. @@AdventuresinDecorating Becca the wedding was wonderful. Was so great spending time with family. Tomorrow my granddaughter is treating me to a tea. I can’t wait to see the tea room and enjoy time with her. She is expecting my great granddaughter in Sept. This is her rainbow baby and high risk pregnancy. We are praying for safe deliver and our little Stella will be healthy. Such an exciting time.
