Thank you Robert , God is the creator of all this beautiful things , let us open our eyes en live a simple life . Its enough . Receive his grace every morning . Thank for your paintings , groet Petra
Sarah here, yeah so that is what I have been doing a great deal of lately, listening and many really need an ear. The parking lot behind you, the aging huge car, the blast of a horn, all that isolation in automobiles. One driver each. Does anyone travel with others any more? Yeah so we are mostly alone much of our days. Getting in groups, rare. I talk to my dogs. They respond.
The UN is seeking artists, like you, whose work could serve to advocate for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals SDGs Goal 15. Keep Up the Good Work 👍
Hi Robert, great words buddy. Listening is something we are all not good at. Thanks for reminding us. What's happening to your painting? I miss those videos. I like watching what you do. Stay safe Robert.
thanks for your words and your encouragement. Im new to painting,, but i showed some of my new paintings to an art dealer anyway (upon their invite), as i wanted to share the start of my painting journey. it was a big risk, as i knew only in tiny bits of the paintings could u see hints of my true potential... but Im so glad i did that. I feel it brought me on, and now i feel even more focused and confident
@@peaceforchildren4303 yes, you have to start somewhere. Approaching galleries requires thick skin. Many will outright reject you in the spot, but once in a while you’ll hear those beautiful words…”Ok, we’ll give you a try”. Please keep going even if you get rejections, it’s part of the life we live. 😊
catchy title. the workd needs you. this is a great video. very heart felt. can tell your uncle jack and aunt maggie meant a lot to you. we all have our gifts to share with others .so Thank you and All the best.
I knew your Uncle Jack (and Maggie) but was too young to appreciate how great an artist he was...I am an artist but was not working on anything at that time in my life...My Step-Father gifted me one of Jack's paintings and I treasure it (of course)...Thanks for keeping Jack's legacy alive by reflecting on his influence in your life...Great message (and encouragement) for today...Take care...
@@scarletsima4842 I have in the past years but currently it’s so easy to have my local lab develop and scan. I am tempted to get a good scanner for myself and resume developing my own film again. We’ll see how that goes.
Like your colors and the use of verticals and horizontals. The use of details on the foreground trees is very improtant. Like the painting. Thank you for this video and all the best.
Liked this video . Thank you so much. In one of your other videos, you introduced Sienna , beautiful calico cat, anyway , never thought about using a metal pet bowl to put linseed oil in. . Watching your videos helps us with painting, and other helpful information. Thank you and all the best.
@@SepulvedaBoulevard ya, I spent my entire life dreaming about this career in art and then it came true. I’m careful never to ever complain. So I allow myself to experiment with my other passions, like photography.
A better title might have been "The good ol' days" instead of one that suggests some type of journey to being a full-time artist. You allude to it, but not very concretely.
Yes, indeed: "Take pictures and the world will be a better place". Especially, if we do it in the kind of spirit you somehow encourage. Not an ego-driven taking. More like a giving of pictures, perhaps. Or giving back? I'm an art historian and have also been using digital cameras for years. But very recently, as in this week in early July 2024, I have suddenly felt the need to buy a Rolleiflex, 1951-1954 model, and go back to square 1. Very exciting prospect. I purchased the camera yesterday and will arrive from Finland.
@@TheRobertpainter years ago, I took it for granted. Now's different. Thousands of digital photos, only a few worth keeping and I still have to sort them. I have a sense of the greater concentration this requires and having to work harder to refine the gaze.
This is so great. Like the application of paint, no palette, no mixing. no thinking where is my center of interest. Its a lot right? sometimes your head hurts. This approach takes all that away. Just have fun. Going to do this. Like your line drawing too, very free. Looks like a bunny to me. Thank you all the best.
You are AWSOME!!! I just discovered you and your site and you are exactly what and who I needed. I absolutely love your style of teaching and your approach to creating art. You’ve given me the confidence to just go “play” and not worry about failing. I’m a beginner trying to how to paint with acrylic but have found myself stuck and afraid to do ANYTHING!!! This particular video is just what I needed to give me the courage to go and just paint joy, which is exactly what color brings me. I can’t wait to watch ALL your videos and learn from you. You have such a great style of teaching and an amazing aura about you. So happy to have found you!! Thank you for sharing yourself and your incredible talent with the rest of us!!
