Now over 84 years I am finding it more difficult to walk and breathing problems get worse, also due to eyesight I no longer drive. I am therefore restricted in going a lot to film railways. However, please do not forsake me as I am in the process of transferring all my VHS tape and DVD discs into WMV and storing them on to the computer. At the moment I have converted 320 railway video's ready for showing on RU-vid. The quality will vary and will not be up to modern day standards. On saying that there are plenty to upload recorded in the past couple of years which are up to standard. Thanks to all of you that follow me, your viewing and comments are so much appreciated.

Good bit of variety there to enjoy Keith. As you say, not quite the same these days : DB 60s gone; Cross Country HSTs gone; coal trains gone; Colas steel gone........
You're right about not being able to enjoy charters this way anymore, although I say don't be sad but be glad you got to do it and have it on film - unless they go on a heritage line, so many of today's enthusiasts won't get to experience this or sitting behind the driver of a first generation DMU. Wonderful video of your day out and fantastic weather and scenery for the Cumbrian coast return.
That has been most enjoyable Keith! So glad you were pulled by a Stanier loco 46115 Scots Guardsman. I think other than the scenery and you two good hosts I really love the meal times from breakfast to lunch to roast dinner, i always love the way you cover this important part of the trip, mind you i get ever so hungry watching! Glad to see you managed to get some shots of the HST/91117 test train - I lost my drone filming it the other Sunday! You do amazing for 87, I'm sure I won't be doing that then! It's easy spotting the refurbished EMR 360s at the moment - there aren't any! Their drag moves to/from Northampton are for general maintenance/exams, and I think the internal refurbishments were to be done at Eastleigh unless that's changed.

Sorry you lost your drone.Yes it is hard for me going out. just stupid determination.It's my legs and breathing that are the problem After Monday morning and a chap I met on the platform offering me a lift home I could hardly get from his car to my front door, The next 24 hours was tough going. I have some very good friends but none of them want to sit on a platform for 2 or more hours. IT IS WOT IT IS SO I JUST HAVE TO GET ON WITH IT. at the moment my best bet is a taxi to Bletchley, Wolverton or Kings Sutton.Then again it's very hit n miss co's I cant use a ''smart phone'' and Wolverton and the like have no toilet facilities. O WO IS MEEEEEEE.

Hi Keith. Don't knock yourself out trying to put vids on for us. If you aren't up to it, stay at home and keep warm. Up here in Cheshire, it is already autumnal, with the trees beginning to shed their leaves, and it is distinctly chilly in the early mornings and evenings, so much so that my heating has turned itself on! It was SO kind of the Chancellor to take that £300 off me! I'm wondering what else I can do without, to cover the financial loss. Best wishes from another old crock!

Great to see another video! Have any information on what the Leicester to Bedford train will be used for? I am only 43 Keith and I can relate to you. I'm mostly housebound and have to rely on you tube to celebrate my passion. If I make a rare journey its in a wheelchair. All we want is for you to prioritise your health and yourself.
