At Calm Achiever, we help organisations achieve stress-free productivity.
We have enabled several leading corporates in India, including Dell, Barclays, Ernst&Young, KPMG, Deloitte & Mindtree to achieve Stress-free productivity through the (Getting Things Done).
The founders of Calm Achiever are Arif Vakil & Mohammed Ali Vakil. In 2008, they implemented GTD in their family business, Vakil Housing. Excited by the transformation, they travelled to the Netherlands and received training by David Allen (the Guru himself) to become GTD Certified Trainers.
GTD enabled them to pursue their soul projects in Education, Arts and Spirituality, that they did not have time for earlier. They are Trustees of an innovative Montessori school (ILM Montessori), and have both have published 5 books in Sufi Comics.
They started Calm Achievers, to help professionals and organisations experience the transformation and joy of stress-free productivity.
Oh. This is the last video. I think I'll miss you after that. Thanks very very much for this playlist. I have no words to mention how I'm grateful for.
Ohh This is the last video. I think i'll miss you after that, Arif And Thanks very very much for this playlist. I have no words to mention how i'm grateful for.
Hi Arif. Your videos are very informative. Please show us the labeler that you personally use as David Allen also recomended to use labeler for daily use.
Thank you Yasir! I use the Brother P Touch labeller. Here’s the link to an upgraded version of the same labeller: www.amazon.in/Brother-Label-Printer-PT-D450/dp/B00YX6WHE4/ref=sr_1_5
@@CalmAchiever Thank you so much! Your reply absolutely made my day. It's fantastic to connect with someone who shares my perspective. You're doing an amazing job explaining GTD. Keep it up! Warmly, Yasir Khan. From Pakistan
The In-Tray! No wonder I'm feeling overwhelmed and unable to properly visualize or capture my pending tasks. In the past when all is paper-based, an in-tray shows you how much is already done, and thusly satisfying to tackle. But now all is digital, even tools and dashboards no matter how colorful or nice-looking don't have the same sense of satisfaction as a physical in-tray. But of course we need to evole. Hence I will try this tip. Thank you so much!
Capture Tool is a much better term than Task/Brain Dump hehe. No wonder I'm not doing good with "Task Dump" because of the negative wording and implied overwhelm, unlike "Capture Tool" which sounds more proactive. Thank you for this!
Wonderful. Just having this conversation helps. I track all my activities on my excel with charting method for days, weeks, months and annual reports. I should be proud of myself but I also had managers have issues with my task management over some attention to detail. It made me become 100% focused on it now.
Hey BodyClockCoach, That comes in step 4 of the GTD process Reflect. (See the video on that here). That's the one part of GTD that is not automated. That's a habit that needs to be built in, which is "to see your list when you're in the right context." So if I'm with my wife, I need to ingrain the habit to look at my @Agenda-Wife list. When I'm at office, I look at my @Office list etc. Doing the review of all your lists once a week, works towards building the habit of the Daily Reflect as well. Hope that helps! Arif
I'm trying to get to 5 sets of 15 pushups. This is set no. 4. In terms of form my chest has to touch the ground. Thank you for being part of my fitness journey!
I just want to say thank you. You have helped me so much in my life about organizing everything. I felt so overwhelmed and was giving my self panic attacks at work and home and now I can finally feel relaxed thanks to you and your videos. They’re really funny and informative youre the best!
Dear Sarah Wow! You are so VERY WELCOME! Thank you so very much Sarah for the generous comment! If you have any questions or challenges on GTD or Organising in general, please feel free to ask them. It helps me with ideas to create videos. Warmly Arif

Good one. A very well explained demo. Congratulations! As a Time Investment strategist, I loved this method. Depends on what works for you. Try various methods and choose the one that works for you. I would do this in this manner. I set aside a time for my Priority work. MY priority, that does not mingle with any one else's priority. If I am drafting an important email or proposal, I put my phone on silence, close the door which has a caption, DO NOT Disturb, and get on that uninterrupted. I do one email, or one segment, with my outline / framework noted down, take a quick look at my phone, check if there is any one else seeking my attention (I am independent and work from my home office) and then I get back to my next mail. I also forward my calls to my team when travelling or busy in longer meetings etc. And most of the people I deal with know that if I dont answer a call they can leave a message with my team This is 'one' way. Not 'the only way.' Do something that works for you. But the content on multi tasking by Arif is excellent. I was a proud multitasker till I heard a guy I respected a lot, on the stage, saying Multi Tasking is not possible. I vehemently disagreed. But then I studied the subject in details, and I agree with Arif Vakil. Yes, its a false sense of achievement. I made a series of 5 videos on multitasking. I also have a book on Time Management 'MILLION DOLLAR SECOND'

Arif, this is such a great playlist. I've been practicing moderately strict GTD and this has has been a great playlist to come back to as needed to tune up the system, sorta like having my tires rotated.
Dear Colonel Nakesh, Thank you so very much! Indeed the GTD system is deep and so many layers that I still see new things when I go through the same material. That was the very idea behind these videos. To make a ready reckoner that one can keep coming back to, to fine tune one’s system. Warmly Arif
@@CalmAchiever thanks Arif! Do you coach with US clients? I'm brown belt with runway and projects and ok with areas of responsibility and goals, but have difficulty structuring my vision and purpose though I have a good idea of what they are, it's a little harder to integrate into the system.
Hello @@ColonelAkirNakesh, Sorry for the late reply on this. Unfortunately, I don't coach US clients on GTD. For US coaching services, you may get in touch with GTD Focus here: gtdfocus.com/ I and my team can provide you with Focus & Accountability Coaching. You forgot to add a context (tag that action with her name, or add to the "Sunshine" list) so when you scan your list you have all the items grouped for when you speak with her. 😊
Thanks AJ! Here are a couple of things I have to work on my form: 1. I don’t go all the way down to the ground. 2. My shoulders go lower first followed by my hips. The body should go low as a while. Sharing it here more for my reflection and focus.
@@CalmAchiever yes that's true, what I do is touch my nose or chest while coming down so that I can achieve full depth and I try to keep my body straight the entire rep.
I like in your video how you show what happens with your mind when the different communications are hitting you and your brain gets paralysed and fogs up and then you forget completely about the email or call until days later. I like Asana free coz you there is no attachment limit
