I think MetalEtemon was actually the naturally stronger of the two. You can argue that Puppetmon got a bit of an advantage in the end, but it should be noted that MetalEtemon was a completely inexperienced Mega at the time, while Puppetmon was already a very, very experienced, and he had numerous battles under his belt (both in on-screen & also in off-screen). And MetalEtemon still clearly matched him in strength at least for a while. If MetalEtemon had been as experienced as Puppetmon was, he most probably would've stomped him.
Puppetmon still matched WarGreymon in attack strength (at least briefly), then he easily dominated WarGreymon with his strings, and eventually his mansion alone was able to fight WarGreymon and multiple Ultimates/Perfects at once. Imo Puppetmon isn't that much weaker than the other Dark Masters in terms of attack strength (and he's definitely the haxxest member after Piedmon) but his durability is kinda sub par compared to others.

I want to know what kind of drugs this writing team was on when they came up with the concept of "buff monkey, but he's made of metal, and he's an Elvis impersonator". And where can I get some.
Yeah this was until MetalEtemon deflected Puppetmon's bullets with his fist (in comparison, Puppetmon defeated a bunch of Ultimates at once via his bullets, and also matched WarGreymon later!), and eventually MetalEtemon's strongest attack severely damaged an another Mega (SaberLeomon) who never really recovered from that. And Etemon's Dark Network attack was still easily countered by MetalGreymon who was only a fodder to Puppetmon in their encounter. However, a regular Etemon did have a hax technique (Concert Crush/Love Serenade) whose actual limits we don't know, but I still don't believe it could work against Mega levels. It could probably help Etemon against other Ultimates who are physically as strong as him otherwise.
Apparently SuperStarmon also has simmilar voice to this digimon in a digimon frontier moon episode. It was a jumpscare to hear SuperStarmon. A jumpscare, that makes me say "You sound familiar!" Also he kinda sounds like hip Hank Hill to me
I remember him damn well. Too bad KingEtemon wasn't in the tv show but should be as a sequel for Digimon series replacing the reboot. He wouldn't be alone either, his son Targetmon would be with him and some Gazimon, Raremon, and RareRaremon.
