di natale's my favorite player ever. i've never seen someone playing football live like he did. it's not like present football, he played like he was having fun. i remember going to the stadium in udine in the weekends, i was so amazed with his goals and how he managed the actions and space in the pitch. he will always be part of my childhood :')
Brazil has at least 25 Big Clubs (in terms of fan base, some have more titles than others, but everyone of those 30 clubs have more than 2 milion fans each, some have 20 milion, 30 milion). And yeah...Fortaleza's fan's mosaics are the best...maybe in the world (just Borrusia Dortmund's fans do something comparable).
At 16 minutes and 20 seconds you can see one of most iconic free kick goals on soccer history. Goalkeeper inverted the wall place and Zico put the ball on opposite side to trick him, but... The iconic moment is when all players on wall turn their heads to their back, only to watch the goal, as everyone of them said after the game ended. I know this is very personal and subjective, but Pele said Zico is the best soccer player he saw playing in his life.
The Flamengo team of 2019 won the Copa Libertadores - South America's version of the Champions League - the Brazilian League, and the Campeonato Carioca (Rio de Janeiro's championship). An interesting fact is that they won the Libertadores on Saturday, November 23, 2019, and clinched the League the next day, while the entire team was absolutelly drunk on top of a trio elétrico. This happened because Palmeiras, the only team that could still catch Flamengo, lost to Grêmio 2-1. Moreover, this Flamengo team was the only one in history to win both the national league and the continental title in the same year, except for Santos with Pelé. They also achieved the best campaign in the history of the League since it adopted the 20-team points-based format, breaking nearly all competition records: they accumulated 90 points (the closest record is Atlético Mineiro’s 84 in 2021), the highest number of goals scored in a single edition (98), the highest goal difference ever (+42), and the greatest gap from the second place (16 points), even though the runner-up achieved the highest points ever recorded for a second place in the League (74). It was truly a special team, one of those we only see once every 20 or 30 years.
Not in Italy bro, definitely not underrated. Of course around the world he’s not as famous as others coz he only played for Roma his entire career, but Totti was definitely one of the best ever in his role. Oh…he scored like 300 plus goals with Roma, which was not easy in serie A back then.
