Ever year round in March, June, July, August and December , the community of Behchoko (Rae) Northwest Territories, Canada. They host a Handgames (stick game, guessing game) tournament and after the games they celebrate in traditional drum dance.
The audio was recorded in WhaTi 2004 and sang by Tlicho and Deline Drummers. Been told it was mixed drummers. Other than that, thank you for comment. Please SHARE the video with others. Mahsi Cho, Thank You.
Love watching these dances, reminds me of Meander River dances (where I was raised the first 11 years of my life) many years ago, love the beat of the drums!
This is great to watch, I love seeing them dance with smiles, and talking in the dance. Powwows are too stoic, I use to dance powwow, but I love this drum dance...
